Recently my thoughts exactly are the same! Seems like 30k is more grimdark than 40k :wink: As for the grittiness and grimness, I invite you to take a look at the test Destroyer, first of the squad, cast into the penance unit utilising harmful weapons like rad grenades and rad missiles, until either his penance ends or he dies. But nevertheless, he will get the job done one way or another. At least as long he can do it in 30k, cause he is too grim for 40k :wink:

A few years ago it took me much longer to paint miniatures (you can fin somewhere another thread with 40k wolves), however, at some point, after trying out many techniques, I started to look critically at them and gradually eliminated about 70% of the steps I took to paint a miniature, without actually losing the quality, and as time went on I even found it much better. I saw your thread, went through a few pages, if you want to discuss any ways of doing things faster looking at specific painting schemes, I'm always happy to try and help.
