Custom built Deimos Rhino (magnetised so it can become a Whirlwind or Predator Variant later on) used MK1 Rhino bits. (Lighting will be redone and Highlighting and detailing to the Rhino)

Once again sorry for the poor quality it was a last minute job I will replace them once my light box arrives. Hopefully they will be joined by full Terror squads in the coming weeks and finished with some official Night Lord pads and helms (Ive converted a few but will be nice to drop some GW ones)

Its taken from the Heresy images one of the Night Lords Nostraman Runes. Always written in blood so referred to as the Blood Rune I'm guessing its a Rune to honour the Hunt.

 

Thanks guys as I said still needs higlights added and I'm going to redo the lighting in Purple to add a better contrast ontop of the clouds.

 

I will be finishing up the Praetor and then putting together the Night Raptor squad the Shadow Hawks and then my Terror squads. So painting is likely to be intermittent.

Just been hit by the thought that my bits box does not have as many Skulls and chains as I'd like. Something I will have to correct to finish up a lot of the planned models.

Today's update. Night Lords upgrade set and Hero on the way. Tarqar now has Trophy's of Judgement modelled onto the combat shield, also and extra skull dangling on a strap from his back.

Things taken into consideration is keeping the idea of a Legion in the dark none of my vehicles will have lights on them. I'm going to model covers onto any glowing gun like the plasma pistol above, and paint on a glow effect trying to escape from the edges of the cover.

Also inspired I'm going to work on getting a nice red glowing eyes effect.

 

Tomorrows job will be a lot bigger I will be working on the Shadow Hawks my Night Raptor Squad. Putting together the bulk of the models won't be an issue as I've cleaned up most of the Raptor backpacks so no possession on it. Converting the wings on the helmet like the one already built and pads for the right arm with Black Bat wings and a Hawk Skull. Minor test pad needs to dry as I didn't think it through :s so couldn't hold it and skulpt once I added the wings (to late brain need sleep)

Night Raptors /Shadow Hawks update.

All 5 now are built just awaiting me to magnetise their arms. I have made individual style Wings for their helmets based on the FW Night raptors.

Trinkets of horror have been placed on them with a few minor adjustments needed.

 

All in all very happy with Tonights progress and will hopefully have some pictures for you tomorrow.

Okay so bit of a issue, dropped my Nexus 7 tablet pad down the stairs and now have less internet access. Anyway apart from running out of magnets the Shadow Ravens are mostly complete.

Okay I may have made a start of the Predator/Whirlwind Turret for my homemade Deimos Tanksince posting. It is made up from a Hammerhead Turret (the Skyray Turret will be used for the Whirlwind Weapon Turret).

Add on Rhino hatch plates and I used a Dreadnought Shin Pad to cover gaps.

Add on some more lenses just because. Then grab your Havoc launcher rack for your basis for the Whirlwind frame Ive pinned mine.

It sits on the Predator/Razorback Hatch perfectly as raised bits hold it in place.

Drop A magnet up front for the Predator cannons to be swapped and attached.

Pretty much finished the Whirlwind Scorpius Turret. It needs some minor work mainly bulking the inside but ill let you guys see the progress.

(I know it is a little smaller than the official model but hey Dark Mechanicum we dont need to follow your STCs!)

 

Tau Skyray turret cut in half and back cut to make a straight edge. I then used part of a Havoc Launcher and Imperial Autocannon bits to finish the look.

Im awaiting some actual chains and might add one or two to the jump pack but other than that im happy with him. His character will show better when I paint him up so ill make sure to post up pictures in separate thread once done. Looking forward to having that pale head with light blue veins as a contrast to the Midnight blue.

Very happy with the skin between the legs (Death Company legs) parchment with me cutting in a stitch long patterns then added conflicting flesh tones.

I haven't started on the blade yet as I want it to look Obsidian but get a dulled daemonic feel so maybe purple washes but the eyes on the blade will be painted dead.

A surprise visit from my Godson stopped any work but Chains and Magnets have arrived. I have also aquired the 2014 Space Hulk BA Terminators to turn into my Altramentar squads 2x 5 but im going to wait a while before I start cracking on with those.

Yey the parts arrived so work has been done! Shadow Hawks are built! Zaqar has his final chain added! The Custom Scorpios Whirlwind Turret built just needs smoothing out in parts!

My start on turning SH BA Terminators into Atramentar Terminators, tear drops defaced and Iron Halo turning into NL logo. Just have to figure out how to do the Lion shoulder pad with out ruining the shoulder pad.

And here is my Squat/Deimurg Legion Tech Marine. I know fluff wise Squats don't exist so I have some fluff for them which explains why they co-exist with the Night Lords (the reason my conversions don't follow STCs to the T, also Zaqar wont let a tainted techmarine Warpsmith into his warband let alone near his vehicles)

I removed the silly little goblin but I have been looking for a reason to get this model for a while and want to keep its main look. He is part of a Brotherhood that does the artisans and tech marine/priests jobs in the Warband so might use the helmet to make copys for his followers.

I am awaiting my delivery for the Crusade lists book (backwards as I am I bought the Supplement first) so I know what Servitors if any the Techmarine can have so I can figure out what dwarf models to use for my Deimurg/Squat Iron Fathers retinue. Any ideas and confirmation on what I can team up the Legion Techmarines if anything and ideas for Dwarfs to use as a base that will go well with the WD in Space model (want to stick to GW range)

Also thinking of instead of having a NL Dread current or contemptor I may use Mantics FF Iron Ancestor to convert into a Heavy Squat Exo-suit
