Chaos Warhound - Ode to Deathguard

Hi Peeps,

So I've been at it again. Busy working on a Chaos Warhound for a buddy. Initially he wanted a Legio Mortis colour scheme with TONS of weathering. But I convinced him that a Deathguard colour scheme would pop way more with the style of weathering he wants.

I had an extra shin plate from another project lying around so I decided to do some testing first. Here's what I have so far.

Mixed the two paints together, no real ratios... just kinda played it by ear. Used the Armour Brown give some varying patterns/sploches on the plate.

Next I used AK Interactive's enamel Light Rust Wash and sponged it all over the surface to break up the surface even more.

Sealed it with this.

Used the Heavy Chipping from AK:I layered over the plate. Mixed the two whites together, again playing by ear. Once the plate was fully covered in the white I took an old brush and water and gently started to scratch the surface of the plate. Please note that if you apply the chipping fluid in multiple layers on certain spots the paint will peel off much easier.

Finally I applied some AK:I Rust Streaks, very roughly. Applying White Spirits will make the streaks flow and you can control where they go by using a brush.

Test Complete! Onto the actual Titan!

Couldn't wait! Immediately started on a Chaos Plate! Used GW Nihilakh Oxide for the verdigris, although I'm sure you can use teal oil paint and thin it down with white spirits to achieve the same effect. Then I used Vallejo Liquid Gold for the trim

Undercoated all of the parts in the dark rusty scheme.
