Hello, this is the WIP project log for my Call of Chaos Entry.

My pledge is to paint:

13 Screamers

2 Burning Chariots

3 Bloodcrushers

3 Plague Drones

2 Disk Heralds

30 Demonettes

by November 12th.

Here is yesterday's shoot of the priming table and models, yay having a garage is fun! though I almost gassed myself, better do it with the door open next time!

Too tired to work very late tonight, so I just worked on 10 demonettes they look tabletop good now, but after a wash and touchups tomorrow, they're done.

Too bad they are just for summoning!!

Can't agree more, I love the glow on the armour and those Plague Drones are ridiculously cool!

I can't wait to see how they look with some paint on them.

going to do al the airbrush work up front, then brushwork details... need to still airbrush the discs, herald, bloodcrusher riders and the chariots.

Again, no wash yet, don't know if there's more I want to do with their Scales, but I'm pretty happy so far!

Man its hard to stay on the first page of this subforum!

So I've been working pretty diligently, and have brought up to about 80% the 13 screamers, 10 demonettes, 2 burning chariots, 2 heralds on discs (new below), and have at about 40% (airbrush work done) 3 plague drones, 3 bloodcrushers, 3 flamers of tzeentch, and I have one box of plaguebearers I'd like to build and have ready for the tourney in two weeks.

Ideally, I would also like to kitbash up 3 fiends, just for the odd situation where i play with the doomstone, and want to drop psyker's leadership by another -1, in combination with the buring chariot, and terrify, thats -3 leadership for psykers in combat with the doomstone... an effective way to deal with opposing deathstars like seer council.

Here are the heralds, mind, they're 80%, no washes or final highlights yet, not corrections....

I did all the books while watching netflix... Batman/Superman Apocalypse, and Batman Doom, keeps me entertained while painting...

I want to write the names of the opponnents I face at the tournament in the grimoire of true names in his hand. I wrote some names in there earlier just to be cheeky, Todd, Frank, Matt, not names of anyone i knew, just thought it'd be funnny to have really normal human names in the Most Potent Tome of Daemonic Knowlege in the Universe!

I'm in a hotel room tomorrow all day "working", and I hope to build the plague bearers, and do the brushwork on the plague drones and bloodcrushers.

Then working from home on Thursday, when I hope to complete the balance, including all basing, and put together their display board, as I don't think I'll have any more time until the tournament, as I'm travelling for business next week tuesday-thursday, and flying from vancouver to rochester on the red eye thursday night, landing at 9am to high tail it to the tournament and try to make it for the 2nd round of the doubles day!

I feel seriously inspired now. I've got pretty good at airbrushing the blades on my Grey Knights, but it never even occurred to me you could use the technique elsewhere. The screamers look incredible. What Valejo colours did you use to do them? Also how did you do the eyes?

I'll have to read the valejo colours when i get home, but i did the eyes by brush! Khorne Red, Blazing Orange and a bight yellow, then yellow/white.

Did you spray the models with glow after you sprayed them in case you made any mistakes whilst painting the spots? If you could look at the colours that would be awesome.

Didn't spray anything to fix mistakes, just don't make mistakes!

I haven't gone back through the models to clean up mistakes yet, most of the mistakes are the size of a detail brush point, so not so noticeable.
