XIIIth Legion Ultramarines

Hi Folks,

I've just started building an army based on the XIIIth Legion for the Horus Heresy - I was really impressed with Know No Fear, Mark of Calth and Unrembered Empire - I think the whole story arc is excellent.

I've based my army on the 82nd Company IVth Cohort - in my brain they were mostly recruited on Espandor and were on Calth during the Word Bearers attack. This represents the company during that battles.

First up a cataphracti squad - this can either be a command squad or general squad.

Not often you see dark skin in 40k, its good to see some.

Nice looking minis. Are the banners freehand? Looks good.

The look excellent! However, the highlighting on the tacticals seems extreme as opposed to the terminators being more subtle. But maybe it's the camera though. Overall awesome job!

@Kabbala - the tacticals were the first unit I have done this with - I think I overdid it - the photos also bring it out being extreme close ups as well. I will tone it down in the future. Much happier with the Cataphracti.

@Token - I wish I had the skill to do the banners free hand - they are transfers and brass etch. I need to put an "82" on the squad vexillia
