Perhaps Sanguinius should instead have a special rule for fighting AGAINST fmc. He's rocked more than one Bloodthirster in his time, and its pretty cool imagining Sanguinius snatching a flying hive tyrant out of the skies and slamming it into the ground :tongue.:

This. He should just be able to charge flying creatures like normal!
Doesn't the Chaos Heldrake have something like that? Vector Strike I think it's called?
Sort of, the hell drake and FMC can perform a vector strike on enemy flyers. It's a S7 hit on side armour by moving past them... Or something.

I think it's D3 against fliers and a single vs ground targets.

I agree that Sanguinius should have no charge restrictions for assaulting fliers/FMC. That would be the greatest.

Book 6 is delayed.  Expected in the new year, most likely February. As people have mentioned all Legions will have one new RoW.  BA, DA, WS all having 2 RoW to make up for their lack so far.  There will also be 6 other generic RoW`s.

Could have sworn there was another rumour about us getting two missions/Rites of War. One pre-heresy and one during the heresy. The focus is on the 121 Chapter/Company/whatever who are cut off from Sanguinius (i.e. they didn't go to Singus Prime).

... and yes I'll update the front page at some point. Honest...

We will get two rites of war along with the Scars & DA to make up for the fact we're late to the party, and other legions will be getting a second in the book.

Fashionably late I must add - just look at that shiny deep red and bling :wub.:

Plus we'll have access to the previous generic RoW and the 6 or so new generic ones plus be able to participate in the Shattered Legion lists.

(is it obvious I'm hungry for book 6?)

Will this mean a Sanguinius HH character series model around the same time???

Sadly, no.

Book six will just be our basic Legion rules and wargear. Plus the rites of War.

Special unique units and characters will come in a later book - so no Sanguinius until then :(

My bet would be we'll get him when he fights Khabanda? Isn't that on his way to Terra or something?

Yup. There's still the rumour that every Primarch bar Ferris will get two versions, so that's one in 2017 when they do Signus and one splitting Ka'Banda over his knee in 2025.

I guess one will have a sword and the other the Spear of Telesto.

The traitors all have a confirmed second one with thier Daemon forms (well, not Curze and Pert...).

I think we'll see a Sanguinius with mad defence/ offence stats but low wounds to account for him single handedly :cuss slapping the entire world eaters Legion.

That's a shame, I'm really excited to see what they do with him, definitely one of the harder primarchs to model well, but they've done some spectacular jobs with others. I've been reading some fluff mainly through wiki's since I don't own any of the books. Doesn't he fight Khabanda twice?

Three times. Twice on Signus, once at The Gate.

Jeez! 2025!?! Thats a ridiculous time table if true. They have already droned on with the Heresy for a huge amount of time without even finishing the Primarchs or covering all the Legions... the new year long 'The Beast' BL campaign shows that they are at least contemplating a shift to the Scouring. The HH is awesome but you dilute the quality when you draw it out this much Edited by BadDice0809

Creating a "fictional universe" that can last for decades like warhammer 40k/30k is something rare/unique, more if the fictional universe take root in a far future....

And when you look at warhammer 40/30k whole universe, many things make sense, even the technologie. (there are many proof that The Middle-Age of technology was a golden age when mankind had godlike power, maybe egal to the Eldar empire at his peak, and whose relation were far more friendly.)

At the opposite, look at the Starwars universe.....now, with the technology of the 21th....this universe make absolutely no-sense, on many plans...even for videogame fps, the SW is a poor one.

So in the future, the warhammer 40/30k licence will grow powerfull. =)

Edit :

When you think about it, of all futuristic fictional universe, the 40/30k is one of the more realistic, and since it is a very human one too, it can survive the ravage of time....

If one day, the Horus Heresy should pop out in the cinema with movies realise by masters (james cameron..etc...so unlimited budget^^), it would instantly burying the whole Starwars universe....

But for the present, i can only imagine the potential of a 30k FPS (Battlefield 30k : Horus Heresy)^^. (Imagine a map that would be a boarding partie, within a giant battlebarge....). I made a dream....

There was much Sarcasm in his post especially about the Time Tables.

Its a little jab at Forgeworld taking +/- forever to get stuff out the door.

If it wasn't Rated R it would not be worth seeing.

The american rating system is a plague for the whole world....i must admit that for peoples who are addicted to porn, ultraviolent/sadistic tv series, and unleash war throught the whole world, american people are very shy with Blood within movies.....(Edit : Yes, not every american are like that, but many are...).

"We choose life! We choose service! We choose blood!" (It is written in the Bible, unto metaphoric form.) =)

(No it isn't american bashing, apart from the rating system, it is simple constatation from an outsider (french) point of view).

But, returning to the main subject :

Warhammer 40/30k will owned every futuristic fictional universe when people will take a look at the deep and rich universe it possess. World of Warcraft have made its time, Warhammer will rise ! (A proof that warhammer is well know is the facts the very word that define the whole universe of Warhammer i know by far more people than the present community.)

Our time with come, we will rise, we will prevail !

Not been covered yet, but essentially after Istvaan the RG, IH & Salamanders were "shattered" into small fragments of thier former strength.

The Shattered Legion rules will apparently cover a force consisting of a single or multiple legions with a less disciplined approach to warfare banding together to get the job done with reduced resources and numbers.

The same army list will also be representative of smaller Legion forces operating independently from the main exploration fleets. Or cells of traitors hunting down the last of the loyalists after Istvaan.

Think of book six as being a stop gap book to release the basic rules for the remaining Legions (in addition to other bits and bobs). This is so those waiting on the non-published ones can get one with collecting, painting and playing with their chosen Legion.
