Well isn't that a gorgeous collection of loyal soldiers and venerable war machines! Loving this force Jud, be sure to take pictures during the big game for us to see!

Cheers, I will take some shots of the apoc game to share.
Finally finished my Shadowsword. It's the first time I've used
decals and I'm quite please with the results!
I have some Deathriders ordered quite excited about painting
more of them, they're such beautiful models.
Here's the Shadowsword:

The transfers look good, help offset the green. A fine tank and it should perform well on the table for you - just be aware it'll have a huge target on it though! There are a lot of pipes and things on the model, have you thought about picking them out? I think it'd help round the model off nicely.

Also- in the SS- the green and red is a nice tie in to the rest of the army and i agree with warrior fish- the pipes, wires and bundles detail painted will make this beast sing. Perhaps a block contrast on the front/ front side armor plating for unit designation?

Ooooh, that soft rust just looks so right. Weathering powders?

Thanks for the positive critique gents.
I'l pick out the cables and some of the raised areas, should add to the
whole effect.
I'll post a couple of pics when I've improved it.

Lol! I appreciate your honesty!

I agree, thanks, I've gone back over the model and added a splash of colour,
I've kept to my usual limited palette, I think it now looks finished.

Yep, it's the FW light rust.
Here's the pics:
Next up will be some Deathriders (when they arrive!)

A huge difference now, for relatively little work - it looks great

Looking great as usual, Jud! Finally, a model that doesn't need the joke about mud on the treads. Ok, fine, I'll say it anyway: you might need some more mud on top of that mud !
Your Shadowsword looks great with the extra details picked out. By the way, the red panels are very striking. If my forces ever get a Baneblade, the panels might have a splash of colour on them as well.
Keep it up !

LMAO!! You can never have too much mud!
Thanks for the comments gents.
I'm waiting for some Deathriders to arrive.
Forgeworld is taking ages at the moment.

Amazing looking DKoK army . I'm looking to start a Krieg army as well, I was just wondering, your Death Riders have a banner and think I saw a mounted commisar as well, did you covert there yourself or are those models no longer being sold by forgeworld? All I can find on their side is normal riders, which is a shame as I'm looking to use a Death Rider Squadron list with about 25 Riders and tons of artillery.
[edit]Woops nevermind , after some searching I have determined it looks like a Space Marine Command Banner, thats a nice blank banner that should work fine indeed[/edit]

After about 6 months of working on my 30k Ultramarines
I've come back to my beloved Krieg.
Over the next few months I want to build a new list based
around the Deathrider Battle Forged Formation.
To do this I will need 6 more Deathriders (not including
the 2 below), some Engineers and another Earthshaker
Cannon.
Here's my latest Deathriders:
Next up will be the Engineers.

Those look amazing! I long for the day when normal rough riders get some buffs and new models. Until then, I'll just keep drooling over the DKoK's cavalry.

Good to see you back in the trenches Jud, very nice colours on your riders in particular their steeds

There is something to be said for the spectacle of a cavalry charge!
Even if it comes to nothing there's a certain romance that I just love.

Plus the Death Riders are a bit more capable than standard Rough Riders.

They are at that! If used against power armour or lesser saves!
Also they look great, I always field 2 squads of 8 in
every list I make!
I just love em!
