Love it or hate it that's what we have to work with for the next few years. Bad news is all of our Special Characters are still using models older than some people in the hobby. I want to create an inspiration thread for all the hobbyists out there so we can make our own better special character models. So post all of the cool Mephiston, Dante, Corbulo, and Tycho conversions. It doesn't have to be a model you created, just something that you think is done really well. If you have your own non-special character related kitbash or conversion and you want to show it off, I'd suggest posting them in appiah5's excellent Kitbash/Scratchbuild thread here. I'll start. The above 2 Mephiston conversions inspired me to do my own. Landrick Posted December 11, 2014 Share Posted December 11, 2014 i like this. a lot. i am not one to complain about GW and their practices, but as a GK (and new BA) player, it annoys me to have to order my HQ's from them instead of my FLGS (both for the discount and keeping my money in my community). All of these conversions look great I'm getting my modeling skills back before I take a crack at making myself a custom Dante and a new Sanguinor I feel he needs to be more dynamic looking. His hair, once gold, has turned as white as the marble statues cast in his image. He is old now. It shows." My WIP Tycho (tabard needs to be finished, right knee needs to be sorted out... And my even more WIP Mephiston - he was at one point more or less totally built, but i decided i wanted to lengthen and bulk up the legs, and i wanted to slim down the arms i'd sculpted.
