Quixus Posted November 15, 2015 Share Posted November 15, 2015 I like the angelus pattern hand flamers, but I think you should remove the drum mag and put the tank (or an additional tank) in its place. Soldier of Dorn Posted February 8, 2016 Share Posted February 8, 2016 If you can get hold of it, I personally think the head from Ivanus Enkomi would look great on him. Failing that, I would go with the death mask. I don't know what it is about that third-party head you have on him, but the proportions feel just... off, at least to me. I like the direction it takes, but that specific head just looks a little odd to me (though it would, of course, look better with paint.) In the end, though, it's your model. It's not my place to tell you what you can and cannot do with the Chapter Master of your own chapter, but you asked for opinions on the head, so I presented mine for you. I've been chopping, clipping and gluing for the past few hours. Grav weapons are in place and I even made up a combi-grav! Totally realised that I had some winged front plates from the RW sprue I could've used on these bikes too after gluing though... May go back and update them, might keep them as they are so the different squads have personality... I did however manage to lop a metal biker Chaplain's head off and actually take the helmet that is on his bike and put it where it should be, on his head! But I'm back on the paint and doing some Skitarii as a change. I bought a box of Skitarii the week they came out aaaaaand... Now finally I have almost finished painting them! Very happy with the scheme overall, just need a new turquoise to finish the Arc/ Plasma/ Taser effects and to put the backpacks on. Oh - and I officially love clear bases. Enjoy the little video... It's Kingsman in the background - about to start one of the best scenes of all time... Colours are: Mephiston Red cloaks > Nuln Oil Leadbelcher metals > Nuln Oil Averland sunset > Reikland Flesh Tinbitz > Agrax White and blue glows are Altdorf blue with lahmian medium and whitescar! It's pretty much all base paints with washes. I was going to go bright then decided I couldn't be bothered and they're better with a dirty look anyhow. Charlo Posted April 3, 2017 Author Share Posted April 3, 2017 Oxide seems to work really well with the Mcragge Blue/ White/ Lahmean Medium/ Altdorf Guard Blue base layer I had to make a nice crisp Arc/ Plasma effect! It covers the blue but leaves some white showing through on the raised areas. Undercoat with Leadbelcher Spray can Highlight with Retributor Armour Spray can - a few light bursts from the top Cover the mini in old-school GW Red Ink (unsure of modern day equivalent...)
