Scout it up to an objective or a prime target. Because of Maun's Nightfall vox anything that deepstrikes within 18" of him doesn't scatter and if infantry that exited a deepstriking vehicle thy gain Counter Attack. Choice of 2 out of 4 pod means flexibility in what comes down. If there's no immediate target the Dread pod and a tac squad can come down. If there's a transport the Proteus can crack it and then Seekers can come down and obliterate it. Or two tacs can come down as general support, grab an objective, take out AA or what need be. Turn 2, with re-rollable deepstrike reserves thanks to Maun and a -1 to enemy reserves from the Proteus. The flyers come down in an advantageous position to strafe what needs to die. The twin Lightnings can deal some serious damage to anything big with an AV or multiple things. The Fire Raptor does what it does. Oh and the Mor Deythan I've only fought Reaping DG lists, which are heavy footslog, lots of firepower as you may know. So I'm wondering what kind of other 30k lists might interact with this. Now I'm not looking to optimize it 100%, but I do hear others thoughts on it. edit: Dropped a Seeker and gave Ground-tracking Auguries to the Fighters and MB to the Strike Leader Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nusquam Posted December 23, 2014 Author Share Posted December 23, 2014 Since DG are a troop heavy and don't like reserves, unless you have Morturg, so they are vulnerable to alpha strikes and mobile units. They do bring a lot of firepower so spacing and positioning are key. Apothecaries can join units listed in their profile, which includes things like Destroyers. Or they may require the specialists as only the very best - the Primus Medicae can do both effectively. What power weapons are you going with BTW? With the Fire Raptor is there no way to gethl the Autocannons? They are just that much better. Maybe drop a couple of combing las from the seekers.
