Lysimachus' INQ28 stuff

Recommended Posts

Wow! I might want to use that miniature as well for something. I do think, though. That the bolt pistol looks a bit heavy and is too dominant. Maybe you should drop the scope? If rule of cool is most important to you, you might even want to exchange it for a smaller laspistol?

The combination of pistols and his "pokes his nose" into things makes me almost thing you could run him as Cypher. I know you're looking at running him using Inquisitor rules, it's just something that crossed my mind.

Thanks very much for the comments guys! Yup, I'm a fan of big guns (as long as it's not over the top to the point of being 'how can he even carry that thing!'), as Nico said it's very 40k.

That's a great idea Fulkes, especially if I'm running him solo!

That said, I'm actually looking at gathering a small warband to follow him around. In fact, I've downloaded the free rulebook for Inquisitor so I can start playing Inq28. Question with that in mind: Can I post fluff/pics/rules of the warband here, or do they really belong in the Other Games forum?

Thanks Charlo, that's kinda what I was aiming for! smile.png

So, as mentioned ages ago, I decided to add to the Inquisitor to start building up a warband for Inq28 (and possibly 40k, although the unit's loadout probably wouldn't be the most effective/points efficient on the tabletop!). Over the last month or so, while waiting for the weather to warm up enough to undercoat my Marines for the ETL, I've been able to get the first two warband members more or less complete.

Fluff for the Inquisitor and retinue will be incoming soon, but waiting for the next Liber Challenge to start!

Anyway, some pics to be going along with:

Acolyte:

2nd Acolyte (or possibly a Jokaero counts-as?):

and a pic of the warband all together so far:

C+C always welcome, thanks for looking!

Thanks 'Fish! The minis are:

For the Acolyte/Rogue Trader, it is the Reaper Minis Chronoscope Sascha Dubois Time Chaser (as stock except swapped hand holding a pocket watch for a High Elf one holding a sword, forget which kit exactly!)

and the Squat is built mostly from this guy: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Grimm-Burloksson with most of the fantasy dwarf bling left off, a pair of cut down legs from the Cadian Command Squad, and a backpack from the new Skitarii.

Ah, Liber Challenge... possibly shouldn't have said that yet... Aquilanus is gonna kill me!!! :P

Well, realised I've not updated this in a ridiculously long time so here's a pic dump of a few things I've been working on:

Inquisitor and Retinue complete:

Really cool stuff! I always love seeing imaginative people taking their bits and turning them into the lovable rag tag band of inquisitors and henchmen. Inspiring stuff.

All my bits are from imperial knights so I'll need to stick to my 12m tall =I= agents for now ph34r.png

Thanks, if you like this kind of stuff the Ammobunker's Inq28 subforum is well worth a look (B+C is of course still the most awesome site on the web!)

Anywhoo... as promised, here's the next character, the Rogue Trader Mordalphus von Caeryd:

I'll probably write up some proper fluff for him, but in short he's the current head of the von Caeryd Rogue Trader dynasty, the father of Elsbeth (the female Interrogator in the Inquisitor's retinue up the page), a near-pathological liar and therefore an extremely rich and successful businessman!

Thanks Guilloom, it is indeed, all of the bits aside from the body and head (which are Bretonnian serf bits with some GS) are from the Scions!
