MindOfMetal Posted January 20, 2015 Share Posted January 20, 2015 Ok, this is thread contains a lot of 'ifs' in it and just meant as a bit of fun (also as a possible way of dealing with a friend who runs Horus with a large terminator bodyguard). A moritat, with two plasma pistols, phase walker and combat augment array. At the start of the turn declare use of the combat augment array. 'Phase walk' near the primarch. With the combat augment array any dangerous terrain tests shouldn't be a problem, as you count any dice roll as automatically rolling a 6. Declare chain fire with the moritat and his plasma pistols, using the combat augment array to declare all your dice to automatically roll 6's. Keep on shooting until you wipe out the primarch and any bodyguard. Wait for your moritat to get revenge killed. Is this a plausible thing to do or am I reading something wrong? Obviously a definite one trick pony and only doable if the Primarch isn't in a vehicle but does this make sense? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Slips Posted January 20, 2015 Share Posted January 20, 2015 Couple that with the Plasma Moritats nerf and well, its just not a feasible thing to do anymore. Consider that, a Moritat geared that way would, at most, cost 250 points. If he could ERASE a squad worth EASILY 1k points due to a SINGLE relic in his arsenal, then Forgeworld has :cuss ed up hard in that respect. Slips Posted January 20, 2015 Share Posted January 20, 2015 However, the average invulnerable save they have is a 4++ with Fulgrims being the weakest outside of CC at a 5++ So yeah, RNGesus will have to make the starts align for the Moritat to "1 shot" the Primarch and Squad.
