DraigoStar vs Green Tide (1850)

I've been debating whether to take BikeStar or DraigoStar to TempleCon and LVO this winter. I really like both armies a lot. So I've decided to play some test matches to see how Draigo will fare against some of its tougher matchups. This game was versus the Green Tide formation using the ATC mission. Deployment was Dawn of War. The Green Tide got Master of Ambush for a Warlord Trait plus seized the initiative... It's been like three or four games in a row now - annoying.

 

Anyways I suppose that makes for an even better challenge and it's always to shoot up some green skins.

On a more serious note, you played a good game and won according to a plan. Honestly, he probably should have simply put the tide in the middle of the table and just ate your fire power, hoping his ranged attacks thin you out enough. By come at you in melee he opened himself up to that situation where being in the  middle means you has a charge attempt if you ever leave your own zone.

 

Still...it packed a lot of food for thought.
