haven't seen this yet. Robbed from facebook crusades and heresy (stuart gilpin)

Cheaper (most likely), non-finecast Thunderfire Cannon!

The Ultras look great, I will certainly be hitting up my bits sellers for some of those helmets.

Those could well be new MK VI, the running legs right at the back are different to the existing ones (legs on the floor/in the air are the other way round iirc).

I had the same thought at first, but I think it's the same old Mk VI set. Except for one helmet, leftmost in the picture, they're identical to the example models on the FW page.

I think the model next to the Vox has a Vexilla, and there's Vexilla with mountings for Mk VI backpacks behind them, next to Vox backpacks. The leftmost Mk VI seems to have laurels on his helmet, but that might just be the picture.

Edit: Any sign of shoulder pads with Squad symbols?

Alphas and iw have plenty of censored.gif already!!

Iron Warriors have shoulder pads and the worst looking Legion Contemptor and that's it! What are you talking about?!

Ah but iw have some very nice and fluffy rules, the first books could do with a bit of updating, just to bring them into line with the 'newer legions' ec and soh rules are absolute crap compared to the likes of any of those. Especially 'shudder' justairin and Phoenix guard terminator rules/prices.

Oh what the :cuss I just bought and assembled a finecast thunderfire cannon this week!   Oh well, this is a nicer model anyway-- and thus goes on the shopping list.

32mm Bases

Forge World will move this way, but no rush and it doesn't mean anyone has to change their current models. Tony was very low key about this. Don't worry, be happy.

Lunchtime - so time to take stock of what's happened this far:

Minor issue with sales queuing this morning that forced people who had queued for over 30 minutes before the tills opened, in the same manner that the queues worked in previous years, to the back of the sales line. One I'll be taking offline with Forgeworld after the event because that was ridiculous.

Pollux was extremely popular, sold out within 2 hours. Minor glitches in transport meant that no Imperial Fist Command Squads or copies of Tallarn: Executioner were available.

Seminar on Conquest revealed nothing new, but a good talk from the guys.

Display boards are same from previous events - Imperial Fists storming an Iron Warriors battle barge, and Ultramarines vs Word Bearers on Calth. Most of the new models on display have already been seen.

Author signing area reduced in size, and a dedicated area for demonstrations (I.e. Airbrushing)

The plan for this afternoon is to sit in the seminars and work my way to the front for 16:15 for the New Models seminar. I'm expected expecting a lot of what we've seen already with some new bits. For those waiting for information on book 5, that comes tomorrow afternoon.

Finally, for those that hav asked for recordings or videos - not a chance. Photos are allowed, but nothing behind that. Very open about the reason why, they don't want to see them up on tube sites for everyone to see and cheapen the experience for those that have paid to come. Judging from the first seminar some people have come from Australia for this...

More info as it comes available.

Split Forces

All of the Imperiums armed forces were faced with the choice of staying loyal or turning traitor. This meant some armed forces went entirely loyalist, while some went traitor. But sometimes this choice split the legions/houses/forces so part went traitor and some stayed loyal. You can also have forces that were in another part of the galaxy and then show up to find their forces have turned traitor and they are faced with a choice.

You will start to see sub-forces pop up which are not what you might expect.
