The Saigheadair have their own Battle Meditation and can't profit from general battle meditations given by the lord of war.

Trained to be highly mobile in combat and fire at will at the enemies of the Imperium, the Saigheadair of the Wardens of Light Legion developed a special Battle Meditation for them, which allows them to become one with their weapons and the battlefield, so that they are able to move while shooting and suddenly change their direction to attack the enemy but keep themselves always out of close combat.

The "batailt fòcas" is an active battle meditation which allows the Saigheadair unit to run and shoot (in either order) in the same phase. This means that the threat range of an Saigheadair unit fluctuates by d6" and also allows the Saigheadair to "jump-shoot-jump".

Special Rule - Battle Meditation: "batailt fòcas" (Battle Focus)

The Coimheadair are one of the greatest mysteries of the Legion. They use arcane technology never seen somewhere else to enhance their Pariah Powers and protect their fellow brothers from the powers of the warp.

A unit with this rule may only be joined by a character with the Pariah special rule. Aether Channel's effect covers an area 4" per Comheadair in the unit with it (measured from the Empyric Manipulator) if the Empyric Manipulator remains stationary. If the Empyric Manipulator moves then the area of effect is only 3” per Comheadair in the unit. The effect of the field depends upon the exact abilities taken by the Pariahs of the unit. Where X is a function of the number of Pariahs in the unit.

  • Soulless inflicts -X leadership on all units within range. Where X is the number of Pariahs with the ability divided by two (rounded down).
  • Dark Presence makes all enemy units within range have to test for fear in combat.
  • Aetheric Tempest all friendly units within range get murderous strike/instant death (as appropriate) vs psykers.
  • Psychic Void inflicts -X to all manifest rolls within range (maximum of 6 required). Where X is the number of Pariahs with the ability divided by two (rounded down).
  • Indomitable Will allows the unit to roll DtW for all units within range and count their Mastery Level as equal to the number of Pariahs number of Pariahs in the unit.
Special Rule - Aether Channel

Coimheadair can only those become who have activated their pariah gene by themselves. They are a brotherhood of pariahs.

The Comheadair are limited to only taking the base power of each ability, though they must purchase the Focus upgrade if there is one.

Special Rule - Twisted Brotherhood

Coimheadair are so well trained to defend themselves with their weapons, that even the most experienced enemy champion will have problems to find a way to pierce their defense.

Electro-staffs are Two-handed power mauls with a rule that means their bearers may only be hit of 4+ at best.

The Sitheadair have their own Battle Meditation and can't profit from general battle meditations given by their Lord of War.

When the Sitheadair charge into the enemy, they are like a storm, cutting through the ranks of their enemies. As they storm forward, the meditate and see only they enemy in front of them, focussing totally the moment they meet their foe and then letting out a barrage of swift strikes.

The Sitheadair may both move 12" and gain the impact hits rule on the charge, also, on the turn they charge, they gain +d3 attacks for charging instead of the mandatory +1 attack.

Before the Assaultphase, the Player has to decide if the Sitheadair take up an offensive or defensive stance.

Offensive Stance “Power of Light”:

The Sitheadair get one Additional Attack at the cost of -1 WS as they are trying to overhelm the Enemy with their attacks neglecting their defense.

Defensive Stance “Defenders of Light”: On the cost of -1 Iniative any bonus additional attack and enemy would get for extra weapons or charge are taken away, as the sitheadair concentrates on deflecting the blows.

They are, but the fluff chapter is usually independent of the campaign info in that book. So, there will be a section bringing the legion to 'present day', but origins, Primarch reunion, Organization, and Exemplary Battles can be done at any point in time.

Hi Folks, I have redone the first page, but it is still WIP and I redo it with the information found in this post. It is a long process, so gimme time please^^

Old First Post

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;

Or close the wall up with our brave brothers dead.

When the blast of war blows in our ears,

Then imitate the action of the tiger;

Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,

Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;

Now hold hard the breath and bend every spirit high.

On, on, you noblest sons of men;

Once more unto the breach, dear brothers, once more.

Special Units:

Sìtheadair (Pacifier) once called luth de oganach, i found the name more fitting.
Best of the best when it comes to CC-Units from the Wardens of Light. They are the personal bodyguard.of the primarch and a army in its own. Equipped with dual chainsaberstaffs ( sometimes with tonfas) and wrist mounted flamers or melter, they can make the.difference.and win a battle for you. Their pariahtrait works as.if they were.equipped.with antiwarp grenades and in battle they switch betweem offensive and defensive stances.

Coimheadair(Guardians): They protect the.army.via.an arcane artefact from warp attacks. They focus their powers amd create null shields. Equipped.with energyweapons the hit slow, but they hit hard.

Storm Blast: An unit already created under the.cognomen of the "apostels of war", the storm blast are expert marksmen and trained in the usage of heavy weapons i. A way, that it seems.as.if they could shoot around corners. They are even able to use their weapons.with jumppacks. Although they sacrifice their precision for range.

Saigheadair: The Saigheadair are a special kind amongst the ranks of the Wardens of Light. They are the remnants of the early Apostle of War Raptor squads.Trained in the use of various Special Weapons, they combine their fire power with mobility and are equipped with Jumppacks. They try to fire with all their might and as close as possible at the enemy units, without getting in danger of beeing caught in close combat.

Illuminator Landspeeder: The Illuminator Landspeeder was given to the Wardens as a Gift from the Mechanicum Abyssii. Equipped with an Arachnus Laser Cannon, the Illuiminator combines great firepower with the mobility of a Landspeeder. Only a few were given to the Legion, but if the enemy has the opportunity to see one in action, he soon will know the power of light.

I admit, I was kinda lazy the last few months and so i didn't work out enough of the differences between Canonverse Gwal and Broverse Gwal, but there are a lot and so I summarized the main points in a compressed form. For our 3rd Book I will take this as a base. but as Gwalchavad is mentioned a few times in book 1, it makes the whole writing process easier, if there is a source to look on.

I will put this text on the first posts too and thx to Mr. Squig who helped me once again to surpass my limited english skills. (Can't we make the whole thing in german? or Korean? would be easier for me^^)

Gwalchavad - Primarch of the Wardens of Light. The Blank/ Pariah, The Ghost King,, He who is not there, The vagrant. The Avatar of Light
He resembles the compassion aspect of the emperor even towards xenos. Violence is only the last means for him. He struggles with his nature as weapon and tries to overcome it to seek enlightment and true peace.

In canonverse he dies, when the wolfs are sent by the emperor together with the ultramarines for showing too often compassion for xenos and refuses to fight them off. Together with Malcador the Primarch of the Ultramarines develops a plan to thin the Wardens out and get the main force set up on a remote xenos planet. When the signal occurs, all over the galaxy the wardens of light units get erased by the imperial forces on behalf of the emperor. The wardens on the xenos world get attacked by the main fleet of the ultramarine who destroys the wardens fleet, while the Space Wolf under the lead from Leman Russ himself make planetfall and wipe the Wardens from the world. Although the Wardens fight bravely back, they have no chance of survival. When it comes to the battle between the two brothers, Leman Russ, who underestimated his peace seeking brother, is beaten, but instead of delivering the killing blow, Gwalchavad denies the fatal strike out of compassion and because the day has seen enough blood between brothers.
Guaire Amalasan, a terran born Warden, who was the leader of the Legion in the absence of their Primarch was involved in the plans of Malcador and Guilliman backstabbes bis father and his fellow terran conspirators stab their surprised primarch until Guiare with his fiery blade delivers the last and deadly blow, which ends the life of Gwalchavad, Primarch of the Wardens of Light.

The conspirators help then to destroy the remaining wardens and join later the ranks of the Ultramarines. But they were forgotten over the millenia.

All knowledge of the 11th Legion was erased on the behalf of the emperor and any memory forgotten cause this was one of the darkest hours in imperial history.

Fighting Style: Using Dual Ellbowblades and unleasing a barrage of fast attacks on his enemy, a fluid motion, graceful, artistic would describe it best. But he his battlehonor let's him always wait for the enemy to make the first attack to give him a chance and to analyze the skill of his adversary.
Pariah Trait: His "pariahness" works through his gaze and can rip the soul out of warpsentient beeings or psykers, if they look him into the eyes. With his mask he is able to focus his powers and he can unleash them in a devastating attack. But using his powers comes with a price. And the stronger the warp entity, the stronger the backlash. Example necessary? After he sucked Deamon Alexos out and banished him for the time beeing into the warp, his eyes were bleeding, he was nearly blind and couldn't use his soulsucking powers anymore on the deamons that followed (Deamon Raktra for example, good that Hectarion was there). The backlash is just a momentarily problem but it weakens Gwalchavad considerably to use that extreme power and when you defend yourself against a chaos army, it would be better to keep the mask on.(Hesh& Grifft, please remind me to work that somehow into the rules)

Back on Caerbannog, Gwal was like the other Primarchs, a weapon built to conquer. As such, he ruled the planet, but was he a just ruler? He believed that he was, and that he brought a better life to all under the sky. However, the people who ruled with him were not just, wanting only personal gain; thus they moulded Gwal in a similar image. They influenced him and he was taught their ways. When resistance arose and as he suppressed it with violence and even children fought against him, he slowly began to realize that something was wrong. He began to question his ways. But it was a long process. In the end, Gwalchavad disappeared searching the servants of the wind god he had met in his youth (the harlequins who gave him his mask). So he ended up on the isle of fog, Avalon, floating in the sea of fog underneath the other sky-isles and home to the servants of the wind god. There he learned their ways. The harlequins of old followed a more peaceful path, like a leaf in the wind. Evading every violent force. He learned to move like them, and to meditate, focusing and controlling his nature. Then Gwal sought out and freed the people of Caerbannog from the rule of his past "friends" and gave the power back to the people, disappearing again after the deed was done as he still felt the enjoyment of battle in him. So he went back to Avalon, meditating to defy his own nature. The urge to fight. With the birth of Slaanesh, the servants of the wind god left Avalon and Gwal alone except for one eldar seer called the "lady of the lake".

The main difference now between Broverse Gwal and Canonverse Gwal is that the broverse Gwal is much younger and didn't have enough time to overcome his nature. He tries but the inner conflict of his nature is still there and although he actively tries to pacify all and bring them into the light, he feels an enjoyment for the fight deep within him. I mean, sometimes he justifies the eradication of an evil xenos force with the argument that in killing them he pacifies them and brings them back to the light (but only after all other solutions have proved as ineffective)

Canonverse Gwal, however, is a far older entity. We’re talking about millennia. At least one, in which he had time to suppress his nature and became enlightened. He is a lot higher up on the wheel of karma; he is so disgusted by violence that he ultimately dies because his own sons see that as a stain on their honour. But canonverse Gwal has surpassed terms like honour and even when Russ kills the majority of Gwal’s sons in the process of the purge, Gwal stays calm and doesn't deliver the fatal blow to Russ when they fight.

While Gwalchavad in the canonverse frees the people of Caerbannog using the Ghandi/Jesus way, mobilising the population for him, the broverse variant used his tonfas. We have the same character, but time and experience is the differing factor here.

THE PARTING

'I looked up, spreading my dark veined wings wide. I felt like a god, my body was full of dark energy, and my muscles aflame with the warp. I saw Raktra lead the front assault on the fortress, his godlike form slicing through crimson lions and wardens of the light alike like wet paper.

I suddenly felt something pull my attention away from Icarion. I looked around me, trying to find it's scource. I noticed a golden armored warrior with black blades standing on one of the rooftops of golden fortress. An old friend, once my student and once my tutor, a god amongst men.

I jumped, my wings carrying me to the warrior, I raised my spear when I was almost within speaking distance. I looked around me one last time, seeing thousands upon thousands of astartes die hundreds of meters below me and my old brother.

"Brother!" I jelled in my demonic twin voice, I saw the warrior standing straighter. His body language betrayed disgust, but also love to me. I grinned, my adamantium teeth shining in the almost smoked out sun.

I landed in front of Gwalchavad, my dark spear shimering with purple warp flames, my eyes aflame with energy. "Brother, it has been so long! I know our last... Conversation... Went rather downhill, but everything changed! We changed! We are at the triumph now! Join me brother, let me show you the future, become the king warrior of the god!" I said, slowly walking closer to him. "Alexos... You were perfect already Alexos. Now you are nothing more then a pawn. I will never join your gods, why did you do this... Deamon" Gwalchavad whispered, slowly bringing his blades up, he started pacing towards me, his mask hiding the ancient warrior's emotions.

Alexos met Gwalchavad head on, his spear blocking three lightning quick perfect strikes from the ancient warrior. It would have killed any mortal and at least have severely wounded any primarch. But Alexos was no primarch, he was a deamon now. A living god. Gwalchavad struck once more, a strike unexpected by the deamon, a hidden knife bit into Alexosses stomach, a telling blow indeed.

Alexos groaned but then struck back with warp fueled muscles, using his energized demon claw. He ripped into Gwalchavad's chest, jerking out a pumping heart. It would not be enough to kill his brother, but it was a severe blow anyway.
Gwalchavad staggered, his second and third heart pumping heavily. He fell on his side, almost at the edge of blacking out.
Gwalchavad quickly regained his senses, and jerked upright. Blocking a hammer blow from the deamon primarch with crossed blades. He kicked the deamon in the stomach where the knife was still stuck in the deamon and disengaged, quickly bringing his left arm around, slicing through the power field generator of Alexosses spear. Gwalchavad then used his centuries of training to weave aside from three of the lightning fast strikes of Alexos with his energized claw. Then suddenly, Alexos was gone.
Gwalchavad looked around him, confused at how Alexos managed to dissapear so quickly. A sting of pain suddenly hit Gwalchavad hard, his own hidden blade stuck in his side, Alexos was standing a few meters away, looking at the wounded primarch before him. Gwalchavad jerked the knife out, barely believing his brother had made such a cowardly move. He tossed the knife aside, and ran at Alexos, the deamon seemingly enjoying that Gwalchavad was in pain. Gwalchavad smashed his right blade into the shoulder of Alexos, he had aimed his blow at the chest, but the deamon melted into the wind like water, even Gwalchavad's martial art techniques weren't quick enough. Soon he was lying on the ground, one of his blades ripped off and another wound on his belly.

Alexos walked closer, throwing his spear and pieces of Gwalchavad's armor in his deamon claws to the ground below, and he lifted Gwalchavad. The deamon primarch lifted the damaged warrior over his malformed head, ready to throw the primarch a hundred meters down into the raging war below. As he threw Gwalchavad, a mask fell by Alexosses head. It took the deamon a moment before he realized what it was. Gwalchavad was now in mid air in front of him. And the time froze...

Alexos looked into the eyes of his old friend, seeing the two beautifull glowing white orbs that were his brother's. He saw the fading stars in them, only suddenly being covered by a sea of sorrow and loss. And... Then suddenly, Alexosses muscles started to ache, he felt his body being sucked away. He opened his eyes in a unfamiliar face. The warp was all around Alexos. He was floating in a sea of deamons and lost souls, screaming his anger and fear, knowing he had been banished to the warp for eternity.

Gwalchavad hit the ground hard, landing on top of an Eagle Warrior rhino, crushing the front half whole.
He stared around him, bloody tears painting his face. And... He screamed and moaned out of sorrow into the air of ancient Terra. Alexos had been banished and Icarion was losing. The traitors were losing, the war was ending. Gwalchavad would remember this day until the stars burned out, his sorrow of losing a brother never fully fading away.'

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The golden figure stood alone on the top of a white marble roof. The imperial palace was no longer the peaceful place Gwalchavad had enjoyed staying at. The past few days, hell had broken loose and the place had become a living nightmare. Amidst this hell fought the prideful astartes, who defended mankind against a collaboration of once loyal space marines and daemons. Deep down, Gwalchavad could see his Brother Raktra, now a corrupted image of his past self, leading the main assault against the defending marines, mere children to his dark power.
As Gwalchavad prepared to support the astartes against his brother, his attention was caught by something else, something observing him from afar. The hairs on Gwalchavad’s neck tingled as he saw the watching beast. An enormous creature, with an eagle like head, pale leathery wings folded to its back. Its spear was raised high into the air as it landed in front of Gwalchavad with bent legs. A three fingered claw coated in purple flames, flickering heavily. The monster looked around as if delighted by the massacre which took place hundreds of metres from him. This was no normal daemon; Gwalchavad recognized the once proud armour and stance of a Primarch, now a twisted travesty of its past glory. But what convinced Gwalchavad of the bitter truth was the spear the creature held in its hand, a golden spear with eagle ornamentation covering it. The spear his brother Alexos had received as a gift from Daer’dd at their first meeting. The blade was now black, covered with the same purple flames carried on the daemon’s bestial claw.
“Brother,” the creature smiled. “Brother, it has been so long! I know our last... conversation... went rather downhill, but everything has changed! We have changed! We are at our triumph! Join me brother, let me show you the future, and become a god!"
Gwalchavad tensed his muscles while the monster slowly came nearer. “You were perfect already, Alexos. Now you are nothing more than a pawn. I will never join your gods. Why did you do this, daemon?” he whispered, slowly bringing his blades up, pacing towards his old friend, hiding his emotions behind his mask.
Gwalchavad increased his speed and at the last second activated his jump pack, gaining momentum, crashing into Alexos with his shoulder. In a fluid motion Gwalchavad threw three perfectly timed strikes against his enemy, strikes which would have proven deadly for a mortal. The daemon blocked them with his spear, as if they had not bothered him at all; this was no mere mortal, this was a Daemon-Primarch, a living god. The power of the Emperor’s sons, fused with the power of the dark gods. No human could dream of standing a chance against such a foe.
Gwalchavad did not give in. He attacked again, even faster than before, a dance of death. He attacked from different angles and worked himself piece by piece past Alexos’ defence. And then he connected, a fast feint, a swirl, one quick motion with his head, and the hidden blade inside Gwalchavad’s braid found its way into the stomach of his adversary. Alexos hadn’t seen it coming, surprised by the unexpected strike.
The daemon groaned, while Gwalchavad disconnected and danced backwards, preparing himself for the next attack. Alexos countered mercilessly, smashing his fist into Gwalchavad’s mask, making him fly through the air. The stunned Primarch was able to recover, but the warp infused muscles of Alexos gave Gwalchavad barely any time. He charged, letting down an overwhelming flurry of attacks with his spear which Gwalchavad could hardly escape, and then struck forward with his energized claw. Unknowable pain exploded in Gwalchavad’s chest as the daemon ripped through his armour and tore one of the Primarch's still-pumping hearts out.
Gwalchavad toppled, his remaining hearts beating wildly. His’s vision faded, but he forced himself up, just in time to block a fast swing with his black blades. Alexos and Gwalchavad stared at each other over their weapons. On one side the burning insanity of Alexos, and on the other the calm silence of Gwalchavad. Alexos forced Gwalchavad slowly down, but in the blink of an eye Gwalchavad jumped backwards. Kicking the Daemon-Primarch in the stomach, the knife still stuck there bit deeper into the flesh of the fowl beast. Fast like the wind he turned a counterattack from Alexos aside and with a riposte he cut through the field generator of his foe’s spear. Thanks to his centuries of training, Gwalchavad was able to dodge three explosive strikes from Alexos’ claw, but then suddenly when Gwalchavad focussed, Alexos was gone.
Gwalchavad searched for his enemy, irritated. Incredulous that his former pupil could vanish so quickly, a sting of pain hit him in the side. Alexos stood a few metres away and had used Gwlachavad’s hidden blade against him. Gwalchavad jerked the knife out of his flesh, barely believing his brother had made such a cowardly move. Alexos stared bemused at the wounded Primarch. The golden knight threw the knife aside in disgust and charged at his laughing enemy. Alexos savoured the sight of Gwalchavad’s pain and awaited the next attack. The Primarch aimed for Alexos’ chest, but as Alexos melted away like water, his black blade smashed into his shoulder. Even as Gwalchavad’s increased they speed and dexterity of his attacks, he failed to connect. All his strikes were dodged, the former Primarch simply melting away. Gwalchavad’s attempts were as hopeless as trying to cut through water with a sword. Gwalchavad concentrated; the void within him erupted as he opened his inner gates, removing his own limiters. He felt new power searing throw his veins. His muscles filled with fresh blood, his awareness increased. Gwalchavad released his natural powerreserve, like the servants of the laughing wind god showed him aeons ago. His speed increased with every strike. He was the wind, he was the light. Alexos form vanished faster and faster, but with every strike Gwalchavad came closer. It seemed as if he foresaw where Alexos would materialize next. The two figures were only a faint blur that no mortal eyes would have been able to track. But Gwalchavad knew that he couldn't keep this pace up for much longer. He needed an opening. Then suddenly the golden knight threw a melta bomb with as much force as he could muster to the place where he thought Alexos would take solid form next and the twisted Primarch was shocked as he appeared in the midst of the burning light of an explosion. Gwalchavad used the fraction of a second he had, and in a fluid pirouette, disembowelled his daemon-brother, cutting his arm off, before drawing his archaeotech pistol and shooting the daemon in the centre of his twisted face, taking off half of his head in the process.
But instead of losing the bout, the daemon vanished, leaving a startled Gwalchavad behind. Alexos limbs seeped away, vanishing into the ground and an unhurt Alexos materialized laughing before the heavily-breathing Gwalchavad.
“Well, well, well my dearest brother, it seems as if I have the upper hand, wouldn’t you say? You know, back on my ship, I was terribly sad when you left me. I had so much in mind for you. But now, we can make up for the lost fun. If I’m honest, I think I will be the only one laughing.”
Once the hellish figure had had enough of this mockery, he attacked with full force. Gwalchavad was a leaf in the wind encountering a tornado, crashing hard to the floor, one of his blades ripped from his hands and a gushing wound on his lower abdomen, several ribs cracked.
Alexos walked slowly to the wounded figure, throwing his broken spear and parts of Gwalchavad’s armour to the floor.
“Brother, you should have joined us. You should not have declined my offer; now there is nothing left for you. Nothing but death!” Alexos then lifted the broken warrior over his deformed head, ready to throw him into the abyss. As he threw the Primarch, Gwalchavad whispered softly: “Forgive me brother, I have failed us. Forgive me,” Gwalchavad lost all hope of saving his brother and removed his mask while he fell. The mask flew down beside Alexos head and, suddenly, burning eyes met white glowing orbs.
Time froze.
Gwalchavad saw the madness in his brother’s eyes. The eternal damnation that Alexos had chosen. But then he also saw his brother looking back at him. His former tutor, his former pupil, his friend. Then Alexos’ pain, as the reality bent and Alexos' soul was sucked out of his daemonic form, which slowly burned inward as it dissolved into the warp.
Time moved on.
Gwalchavad hit the ground hard, landing on top of an Eagle Warrior rhino, crushing the front half whole.
He stared around him, bloody tears painting his face. And he screamed and moaned out of sorrow into the air of ancient Terra.

First^^: Not all Wardens of Light are Pariahs. We have 2 Sources of Genmaterial from Gwal. The one on Terra, unaltered and with a passive Pariahgene embedded, and the one harvested from Gwalchavad, after he is found. The Droppod was damaged while Gwal was in the Warp and the creatures of the immaterium feasted on his soul. The Pariah gene in Gwal was meant to be a insurance for the emperor, should the powers of the warp turn against him. And as they tormented the infant primarch, it was activated and his gestation capsule was thrown out of the warp, centuries before he was even born.
So what does this mean for his sons?
Well, every neophyte starts the same, they get the progenoids from terran origin, but when the black carapace is to be inserted, they have to choose: Either take one from the awakened geneseed, and become a pariah, or take one from terra and become a normal marine.
But if you choose the awakened form, you can’t be able to reach a very high pariah lv. Mostly you stay on the pariah tertius. Just like a vaccination, the vaccine gives you some form of protection, but most of the time you would grow stronger if you defeat the illness with your own merits. Same goes for the pariah powers of the Wardens of Light. The strongest pariahs were those, who awakened that by themselves. Scorpion. Guiare Amalasan. But in order to awaken it, you have to die. Sounds easy^^ After the Warden awakes his pariah trait, he has to choose which branch he will follow: Comheadair or Luth (Rumors has it, that the Luth look out for promising candidates and try to kill them. Even abduction and torment are whispered)

Thanks to the masks, the Wardens of Light are able to control their pariah powers and don#t influence their allies. For example: While the Grave Stalkers are the claymore, chopping everything to pieces in their way, the Wardens of Light are the Katana, fast, and deadly, but able to cut with surgical precission, cutting only what they want. Both forms are deadly for a psyker^^
If enemies happen to utilize many psykers, then it is a safe bet, that wardens of light are called upon, to neutralize that danger.
So: The Legion is organized like a tree:

Gwal is the Root, and the Chamberlains of Light are the trunk. From here we have different branches spreading out, forming a tree. Every Company consists of different branches.

So heavy weaponsupport attack the enemy lines, fast attack (jetbikes) on the flanks, and assault troops (I'm guessing assault squads would fit this role) jumping over and stabbing alot of stuff while blocking the advance of the enemies troops. Very complex assault strategies because of that they need extra commanding structure to organize the assault.
Goal: Surround and outmaneuver the enemy as fast as possible and reduce the unnecessary killing to a minimum.
Before they enter the battle, they meditate and cleans their thoughts of all lust for bloodshed. Fight their nature and become more than the simple weapon they were created to be.
On the battlefield, the wardens, especially their Assaultteams are a sight to behold, with their Dual Sabers or Ellbowblade, they move with surgical precision, no movement wasted, they flow through the air in their golden armor, and often the normal humans are awstrucked seeing them fight at their side. (Sigismund had it perfectly described in his stories).
Swords are a seldom sight, as the caerbannog wardens despise them for their only purpose: To kill, but under the terran wardens, some swords are still visible.

The Wardens of Light resemble the pure good in the grim dark Galaxy. Open minded, relaxed but focused (Take a shaolin monk) Opposed to other brethren they try to save lives, fight only if necessary and there is no other way: Similar to Jagathai Khan in Canonverse, Gwal give the planets they have to conquer a choice, but where the Khan gives only one, the Wardens follow the way of Three: They give 3 chances to surrender, and only if 3 attempts to convince the enemy failed, they go full out war, but even then they try to spare the population.
You could describe them as Paladins of Humanity, a shining example of the goodness in this world, which fights against the ever growing darkness. // redundant, I know
Wardens and their Primarch:
At first, the former apostles were vary, when they encountered their primarch, as but he was able to win their trust ( in broverse, the time before Gwal was found was not so big, and the Legion Master Guaire, became himself a pariah and an outcast, as pariahness was something the apostles couldn#t really understand, and he made a big mistake in underestimating the orcs). Every single one of them inherited will of the primarch, and although their ways might be sometimes different, their goal is the same: Bring the light back to humanity and link the worlds to the imperium.
Every one of them is absolute loyal to their master (but being loyal doesn’t mean, to stand aside and watch the galaxy burn, so they split later[book 3 I guess…hey…a galaxy burning means it is a lot of light out there…..check] -> sometimes being loyal means to question their master and choose another path.

Wardens and Xenos: Gwalchavad was teached by the elder who served the laughing god, and on caerbannog, the population still remembers the tales of the eldar, who brought them light, when all lights went out ( The humans landed on a the skyisles of caerbannog (once a maiden world) after their ships were damaged and without the help of the eldar, they would have starved to death. Over the millennia the eldar vanished and only the servants of the laughing god remained to wander the isles and tell tales of the past and preach a way of understanding[ with slaaneesh birth even they vanished, but that is another story]
Because of that, the Caerbannog Wardens have a deep respect for the eldar and other xenos, as their past shows, that different species without knowing each other an coexist. The Terrans are not so fond of them, but they accept the view of their brothers [there is no charismatic leader like Guaire in the Canonverse to convince them that the way of their brothers is wrong]

Outline for the insurrection after the day of revelation:
My thought outline:

- After the wardens return to caerbannog they send a diatress call having all wardens fleets return.
- gwal is badly hurt physically and mentally by the quarith drugs and torture travier has done to him. The wardens, whose leader is tgerefore absent argue what to do. There arw the ones like scorpion who want to take action and the ones who want to follow the wishes of their primarch not to fight their brethren. That revenge is bad etc.
- refugee ships arrive on caerbannog and tge wardens try to at least pacify a corridor so that tge ships can travel safely if they reach the corridor. But often those ships are target to raiders lile the jackals but i can see too that imperial troops stop them too to take the men and let them fight in the militia. Well the wardens who often see ghost ships with only dead refugees on board question the ways. -> of those some could become knights errant.
- captain kylan who found one ship too much beeing raided by the jackals gathers his men and hunt down the jackals who were responsible ( about blood crusade time i assume) . he kills them to the last but loses quite alot of men in the attempt. When he returns the circle of wardens ( or the table like in arthurian legend) has to trial over him. An argue between those who want an active role and those who stay neutral occurs over the fate of kylan and his men. It is then that Gwal shows up for the first time in recent years. Still not fully healed ( atm i am argueing with myself if i should give him a few bionic implants)
- he sees that even among his legion a twist has come and makes a salomonian decission. Je sents kylan and his men to tge nightguard. Some of the activist like scorpion join them.
- while on duty at the nightguard they see the whole scale of treachery and when they return they try to convince gwal to take action, but he can't bring himself to fight against his brotgers. Even if they backstabbed him, they are his brothers. It is not his fight.
-scorpiom rallies then about half of the wardens and leave for terra (about 25th year of the insurrection).
- with his men gone, gwal rethinks all. Meditates on the problem etc and comes to a decission, that he can't stay neutral. The war has reached his legion as well even if he don't want to admit it. So he heads with the rest of the wardens for terra, reaching it just in time of the insurrection.
- terra siege
- gwal is depressed over the deaths of his brothers and can't forgive himself because he believes that if he had taken an active role earlier he could have averted tge deaths of alex and tge crippling of tge emperor. So he vanishes to find a cure for the emperor.

SPECIAL RULES
Sire of the Wardens of Light

  • All models with the Legion Astartes: Wardens of Light (LA:WoL) special rule gain +1 Ld (to a maximum of 10).
  • Any unit with the LA:WoL special rule gain +1 to their Combat resolution results as long as they are within line of sight of Gwalchavad.

Wisdom of Ages
Gwalchavad always allows his foes to strike first, in order to better judge their fighting ability and see their true intent.

Gwalchavad gains +1 I per Round. This effect starts in Round 3. And cannot increase over a max of I 9 in Round 6.
So he has in round 1,2 I5->Round 3 : I6->Round 4: I7 ->in Round 5 I 8 and finally in Round 6 I 9.

Battle Meditation "The Eight Gates" (Na hOcht Gàidhlig)
If Gwalchavad is severely hurt, he performs the Battle Meditation "Eight Gates Form" (Na hOcht Gàidhlig). He focus entirely on the battle and releases the hidden powers which sleep deep within.

Gwalchavad gains additional Statbonusses for every 2 Wounds he receives. So if he gets down to 4 Wounds he gets WS + 1 and if he drops down to 2 Wounds he gets WS + 2 and S +1 If he heals a wound and rises above 2 Or 4 Wounds, then his Stats are reduced in line to his remaining wounds.

Battle Meditation :„ cuaifeach ó thar (Whirlwind from Beyond)“:
Instead of making normal attacks, Gwalchavad can instead choose to whirl himself around in spinning dance of death. If he does so, Gwalchavad inflincts a single automatic hit on all enemy models in base contact. Declare whether or not if Gwalchavad will perform a „Whirlwind from beyond“ before any blows are struck.

Battle Meditation „rince na marbh ("dance of death")“:
Although he hates violence, Gwalchavad is an amazing fighter, trained for centuries in the art of close combat. If Gwalcahvad finds a hole in the defense of an enemy and wounds him, he instantly unleashes follow-up attacks and try to overwhelm his adversary with a barrage of attacks.
For every unsaved wound caused by his ellbowblades „Grandfather“ or „Peacekeeper“ in close combat, Gwalchavad immediately makes an additional attack. These extra attacks can generate further additional attacks in the same way, until no further unsaved wounds are caused, or all of the enemies are slain. Attacks conjured this way ignore any FNP-Special Rule.

WARGEAR
The Mask "mwgwd ddi-rym": Givien to him by the lady of the lake to let him control his pariah powers, this archaic device is capable of focusing Gwalchavad's powers into a coruscating blast of energy which rips apart the target at the atomic level resulting in complete disintegration.

It has the following profile:

Range Strength AP Rules
Mask 12" 1 2 Assault 1, Piercing Gaze, Life Drain, Aetheric Blast

Piercing Gaze: All shots with this weapon are precision shots.
Life Drain: When used against a Psyker this weapon gains the Instant Death special rule.
Aetheric Blast: This weapon has a to wound roll based upon the Mastery Level of the target hit. ML0: 4+ to wound, ML1: 3+ to wound and ML2+: 2+ to wound.

Finally Gwalchavad may unmask himself and let his nature run rampant. He may choose to unmask at the beginning of any of his turns at which point he may no longer make use of his mask as a ranged weapon, but gains the following benefits. These changes last until the end of the game:

  • All fear checks caused by him are at -2 Ld
  • He may re-roll any failed Deny the Witch rolls.
  • Any attacks he makes in close combat cause Instant Death on a 5+ and gain the Soul Blaze special rule.

Weapons:
Ellbowblades "Grandfather and Peacekeeper":
Given to him by his brother primarch Daer'dd, Gwalchavad mastered the use of these in no time. These paired weapons are precisely balanced to enable Gwalchavad to unleash a barrage of strikes on his enemies, whilst protecting him from harm. Built inside is a H'rud entropic field which let Opponents who were hit age in mere seconds and reduce them to atomic dust.

Range Strength AP Rules
Tonfas - User 2 Melee, Rampage, Rending, Counter-attack, Two-handed, Blind, Murderous Strike

Armor:
"The Armor of Light" (trealamh gréine) : This artificial primarch Armour was given to Gwalchavad by his father to support him in his swift combat style.

The Armor grants Gwalchavad a 2+ save and Hit and Run

Speed of Light: Despite his size, he's too swift for some eyes to track.

Gwalchavad has a 4++ Invulnerable Save that can be re-rolled on a 5+.

Jump Pack: Hammer of Wrath (D3), Turbo-boost (12")

Hidden Blade: A model equipped with a hidden blade may make an additional single attack per turn as well as any they would normally be eligible to make. This is done using the weapon profile shown below:

Range S AP Rules
Hidden Blade - User -1 - Melee, Unexpected Strike

Unexpected Strike: This attack comes from an unexpected angle leaving opponents little chance to defend themselves. When rolling to hit for attacks with this special rule the target counts as having -1WS (to a minimum of 1).

The attack with the hidden blade doesn't count for the "dance of death" special rule.

Credits for those awesome rules go to Grifftofer. Without him, I woildn't ne able to pull these off

Old 3rd post

The "Sraonadh Doininn"

Special Heavy Weapon Support.

Battle Meditation "Storm of Fire": A unit of Sraonadh Doininn may choose to initiate a Storm of Fire at the beginning of their shooting phase. If they do so they make a single attack, as a unit, with the profile of the weapons that they are carrying. However this attack has additional special rules depending on how many models are remaining in the squad.

1-3: No Storm of Fire shots may be made

4-7: Blast

8+: Large Blast

Trajectory Analysis Protocols: A unit of Sraonadh Doininn using their Storm of Fire ability may choose to use the Barrage special rule when resolving the shots.

  • Psy-shield (Empyric Manipulator only)
  • Hexagramic Wards (Warders only)

*A Techmarine may restore a single wound to the Empyric Manipulator with each use of it's Battlesmith ability.

Options

A COIMHEADAIR-Team may take:

           - Up to 3 additional COIMHEADAIR.................................................... +30 points each

           - 1 Empyric Manipulator with Techmarine............................... +60 points*

*Choosing an Empyric Manipulator changes the Warding Team's Unit Type to Artillery.

Psy-shield: If the Empyric Manipulator is not moved during the movement phase then until the beginning of it's next turn it produces a shield that covers everything within (3 x No. of COIMHEADAIR)". The Empyric Manipulator rolls Deny the Witch rolls for ALL units targeted within this radius (friend and foe) including blessings that effect units within the area. Each attempt to Deny the Witch gains a number of additional dice equal to the number of successes made on the harness roll. And all Deny the Witch rolls made by the Empyric Manipulator succeed on a 4+.

Hexagramic Wards: Each COIMHEADAIR adds one dice to the Warp Charge pool, but only in the enemy psychic phase.

Summon the Vortex: If the COIMHEADAIR-Team has not purchased an Empyric Manipulator then they must all be deployed within 6" of each other, but afterwards operate independently. Any turn in which all remaining members do not move during the movement phase summons a vortex that lasts until the beginning of their next turn. The vortex effects the entire battlefield and has the following effects:

  • If 1 COIMHEADAIR is alive then the vortex causes Psykers to suffer Perils of the Warp on any manifestation roll that includes two or more 6s and/or two or more 5s.
  • If 2 COIMHEADAIR are alive then the vortex causes Psykers to suffer Perils of the Warp on any manifestation roll that includes two or more 6s; and/or two or more 5s and/or two or more 4s.
  • If 3 COIMHEADAIR are alive then the vortex causes Psykers to suffer Perils of the Warp on any manifestation roll that includes two or more 6s; and/or two or more 5s; and/or two or more 4s and/or two or more 3s.
  • If 4 COIMHEADAIR are alive then the vortex causes Psykers to suffer Perils of the Warp on any manifestation roll that includes two or more 6s; and/or two or more 5s; and/or two or more 4s; and/or two or more 3s and/or two or more 2s.
  • If 5 COIMHEADAIR are alive then the vortex causes Psykers to suffer Perils of the Warp on any manifestation roll that includes two or more 6s; and/or two or more 5s; and/or two or more 4s; and/or two or more 3s; and/or two or more 2s and/or two or more 1s.

Cool. Today i show you that i am not dead^^ not yet at least.

As I was dragged into the truscale hype( thx doghouse, isengrin, apologist, luna and all the other brilliant minds who i can't remember but who had a fair share in planting the seeds in my mind), I tried myself on truscaling a tartaros dude. His midsection is only sticky white stuff atm because i managed to hurt my hand and can'tdi anything atm. But at least i can show off. A very early work in progress.

By the way: legs will be thickened^^

Hey, once you go true scale, you never go back.  As I've said in our conversation before, he looks very promising. It will be interesting to see how he further develops.

(sorry, I forgot my photobucket account and am currently a little too lazy to reclaim it).

I must say though, the guy on the left reminds me a bit of a Predator (not the tank of course, well you probably get what I´m saying... :tongue.: )

Wow the Tartaros true scale look great! I love it when a marine has dual power fists, looking forward to seeing him finished!

Thx. He is close to be finished. Now he also has the bulk in the midsection. Stay prepared^^

Great height! I am looking forward to seeing more of him!

Thx. And coming from you is a special honour. Tried to keep the ratio between my truscaled amd the terminator the same as in sketches

But boy...

He is huge.

Hey, once you go true scale, you never go back. ;) As I've said in our conversation before, he looks very promising. It will be interesting to see how he further develops.

Getting bigger and bigger^^.

We love dreads^^ and a big fam of the franchise. I simply had to work the look into.

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever innocent suffer. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. I fit means we have to forsake our legion, then be it so. I will not carry another dead refugee child to its grave. No, if the light shines upon us, it will be those responsible who will endure a thousand deaths from my hand. I will follow you into the abyss Kylan. Let us hope it is not too late for our souls.

Logaine Valjean

Woah, has been some since I painted any figure, so I am a bit proud that he turned out not completly awful. This is Logaine Valjean, a member of Killteam Kylan. Kylan was a figure invented by Sig on which I want to built on. although not one of the "legenary" heroes, he will have an important role in the wardens history and Valjean will be at his side, mawing all enemy opposition to shreds^^.

END OF LIGHT PART XI

"In the Age of Strife the galaxy was unformed, shrouded by  warpstorms. But then came the Emperor and with him came the Primarchs and their sons, the Space Marines.. Heat and cold, life and death, and of course, light and dark. Horus, the First of the twenty, the Stormborn and his Lightning Bearers, Leman Russ, the Lord of Fenris, and his faithful wolves. And Gwalchavad, so easily forgotten.

"They failed me, every last one of them.
They were strong, but saw not the truth.”

http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2017/1/9/848899_sm-Terminator%20Armor%2C%20Truscale.jpg

As the heart of light faded away, the tears of heaven became snowflakes. While they slowly danced to the ground the world changed. Rivers of red where covered with innocent white. The calmness that engulfed the lands where ocassionally disturbed by the screams of the dying and those who refused that they were already dead. There legion was on the verge of destruction. With their father dead, they had no hope of survival. Still…

http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2017/1/9/848898_sm-Terminator%20Armor%2C%20Truscale.jpg

The giant moved slowly over the frozen battlefield. With every step, his ceramite hardend boots sunk deeper into the fresh snow. As he moved, his mechanical joints made a low noise, but the falling snow covered the sound.

The Armor was covered with snow and ice. The heavy cloak rested on his side and gravity pulled it downwards. When he found a still living member of the XIth, he swiftly activated his chainfists. Dual Chainblades activated and sang through the air, while the ended the life of more than one “Warden of Light”.

http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2017/1/9/848901_sm-Terminator%20Armor%2C%20Truscale.jpg

It has been 3 days since Gwalchavad, Avatar of Light and Primarch of the XIth Legion fell under the Blade of Guaire Amalasan and the countless halberds of his other sons. Although despised by half of his legion, the Primarch did not see it coming. That they would turn against him, sink their blades into his body.

He wished he had been there. He wanted to ram his chainfists into the body of this disgrace. Cut him apart and seeing him die. He envied his brothers, those who were there. When the signal came, his company was miles away, faking a battle against the wolves, rallying those who were loyal to their Primarch, before they turned against them and joined the ranks of the attacking Space Wolves. Valjean and his Terminators branded like a wave of destruction against the surprised Wardens, who defended their worthless lives with nothing more than their bare fists. Still they put on a hard fight and he had lost many good men. Men who followed him since the dawn of the empire. Apostels of War who had to forsake their battle honor for the perverted dreams of peace, their father had. Mankind was not created for peace. There is no peace in the galaxy, only eternal war, and the emperors Space Marines were destined to fight and die at the forefront.

http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2017/1/9/848902_sm-Terminator%20Armor%2C%20Truscale.jpg

Valjean was lost in thought, when something pierced his armor, and suddenly a heavy figure crashed with his feet into the marine in tartaros terminator armor. Valjean lost his balance and fell backwards. Only his experience prevented him to fall fast victim to his attacker. With a quick movement he blocked a second blade which would had cut his helm apart with his right chainfist and attacked his enemy with his left power fist. Although he missed his adversary, his counterattack bought him enough time to regain his balance and move into a defensive stance. On his left armor plate stuck a strangely shaped thin spear, with little turbines incorporated in the grip. He ripped the blade out and as soon as it left his body, the blade returned to its owner, a tall space marine, in golden power armor. Although dwarfed by Valjean in his Terminator Armor. His skirt was ragged and the days of heavy fighting had left their marks on the armor. The Marine wore no helmet, but a mask, with scorpion claws framing face. Black long hair was tamed into a long braid on which end a black knife was hidden. A black knife  of caerbannog which could cut even the thickest armor. “Hypocrite” Valjean thought. Speaking of peace and at the same time carrying such deadly tools. In his right hand the Attacker carried a double bladed Twinsaber, its flamelike baldes were of the darkest color of night pulsing violet on it’s edges. “Ashanderei…”Valjean murmbled to himself. He knew the blade the Wielder of it....

Wow, it has been a long time since I took a brush in the hand. I was completly satisfied with modeling, and forgot about the other part of the hobby. I think for a year of, this one is not that awful. I think, "thousand eyes" will be proud of me. And I even started on one if the Primarchs^^

So this is my Truscale approach of a terminator in tartaros armor. What do you think? C&C Welcome.

And last but not least next to a headless Kozja

http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2017/1/9/848904_sm-Terminator%20Armor%2C%20Truscale.jpg

And laster than last^^ Please ignore my many mistakes, I wanted to show the world the termi and thought it should be accompagnied with a story. but as i am not the best when it comes to waiting, I had nobody who read it. So, Ignore the mistakes.
