Shattered glass effect

You can use real glass, and crushed glass as well, crushed glass can be found at secret weapon mintures. Also there example of him making shatter glass from realist water and plastic wrap, on YouTube.

But for real glass, beer bottle or cheap picture frames work well, just get some heavy duty sand papers and Polish up the edges than, use pva glue, as super glue or crazy gule will stain it foggy.

You can ink or glaze the picture frame glass for stained glass look.

Common sense prevails when dealing with glass yes it can cut you. I go full bitch mode when dealing crush glass and were a mask and goggles as that :cuss is super fine and can spread any place. And the last thing you want is rubbing it to your eye or breathing it in.

That sounds good! Have you got any pictures at all?

Sorry for the delay in replying. Here's a quote from back when I did it:

As is the plasma command squad.

I'm particularly happy with the very fine dotscript on weapons and the back of the veterans' armour.

The OSL (a bit of reflection on armour) came out alright. I'm a bit of of practice.

And I'm reasonably happy with the broken glass on their bases.

Wear rubber gloves, eye protection and a facemask when doing anything with crushed glass. It can be harmful if not treated with respect.

I come from a background of railway modelling, where the best thing for modelling coal is coal, best thing for slate is slate and glass also fits into that category. Just be careful with it, and it should look great

These are what I am trying to represent.

In the books (ts, prospero burns, and the others where they go back like scars etc) it's mentioned as having almost a sheet of glass.

This leads me to believe that these are made of it, even if it doesn't quite look it. I think in the building they look brighter, but shattered will be clear or s very light blue, and occasional stained fragments perhaps to break it up.

Microscope slide covers work brilliantly as windows or broken glass since they are made from extremely thin glass

But be EXTREMELY CAREFUL. These are tiny, razor sharp shards of glass!!! Wear gloves and safety glasses as a minimum and break them somewhere you can easily clean up
