Heres a quick update of this evenings progress

Ive got all the main areas block coloured and washed.

Ive concentrated on the face to start with. Still a fair bit of highlighting to do there

Awesome Nork. It's giving me an itch to buy more ogryns.....wife might kill me tho. Whats your recipe on the skin?

Thanks

They are fun to paint. Ive done half a tutorial on skin but basically its paint flesh then shade with purple and brown then work up to white/flesh highlights

I think Knights are very different both in style and size, so you can get away with any colours you like :P But if you're looking to match, one or two colours from the Guard force should do it then you can supplement them with colours to make a more "heraldic" look :)

Just a quick update

ETL Vow 2 is complete. Creeds now done

For Vow 3 Im building a knight with a complete interior and pilot.

I'll do the build on this thread so its not clogging the etl thread.

Ive a few bits inbound so for the moment Im on mold line duty

Are you planning on magnetising more than just the carapace? I found it could easily click on and off thanks to the way the pieces have been made.

Not on the arms. This is display only

What I am thinking of doing is taking the exhaust stacks and cutting them in half so the exhaust comes off with the carapace rather than having to thread it through each time. The joint would be under the hood so you wouldnt see it once installed.

I'll blog my progress (and mistakes!)

Im still waiting for the interior bits to come so Ive made a start on the base

Im going to raise the back of it with cork when I get to my local hobby shop this weekend and have the front two toes curled over to show interaction with the base

I thought it would be funny to have the sergeant looking up shouting at the knight as it towers over him.

I might leave both minis on the base or remove them. It depends how cluttered it looks.

Ive also picked a knight colour scheme..... its a hard colour to paint!
