Yes!

Yes

Ive got these two

EDIT: you can see the point between painting that I changed my skin style to use blended purple/browns for shading and not a straight wash (on the left vs blend on the right)

I built another Ogryn with some of the spare parts I had

I had an idea of a powerfist and at first used one of the Grey knight walker ones but the fingers were too small so I went for it with GS

I didnt want it to be too Orky so I tried to scale up one of the smaller IG versions

I am going to paint his fist red though

Your "Hellboy" is looking great but isn't meant to be a red right hand not left?

Hellboy should be a Primarch, maybe a modified Magnus the Red model. Besides, the Ogryn's power fist has five fingers (including the thumb), while the Right Hand of Doom only has four.

First time I can remember seeing this, all I can say is WOW!!

I’m building up a “forces of Ultramar” army based around Ultramarines and Death Korps of Krieg.

The army badge I’m using is a white skull too!

I suppose it’s 40k (if in doubt add more skulls)

I’m really impressed with your subtle kit bashes and conversions.

Thanks for the comments. I would have done the fist on the other arm but they are the only ones with weapons on had to switch it. I also had a go at a three fat fingered hand but it looked way too Orky. Got a couple of other bits to do to it but will look to paint up this weekend

  • 3 weeks later...

Ive done some more work on my AOP board Strongpoint

Im looking to build it up and put a blast door in the middle of the two lower emplacements.

Ill plasticard the rest of the building and add detail later.

What do you think to the two mounted autoguns though? OTT?

Thanks for the quick reply TC

That's all just balanced at the moment

Im going to trim it all and then edge it with plasticard.

The guns will then sit in their respective base rings mounted on top of the bastions either side of the door

Had another hour on this today and got the base walls in place and glued.

Ive got to wait until tomorrow until its all dried and then it all needs sanding.

Once thats done I can add the trim around the lip on the new lower floor.

Ive also got the problem that I need to add the same corbels that are present on all the bastion bits. These are the little brackets that you can see spaced about 5mm apart. I think Im going to have to do a GS mould to make them properly.

I also need to wait until I get some more 2mm plasticard to finish the back and the base.

Im going to have a go at building some pipework to detail the right side below the tower. I can throw a few barrels there too to detail it.

And we now have a blast door.

it makes it look a lot more Imperial!

It still needs rivets, and a couple of grebles but its about done

The Aquila was done by printing an 8cm Aquila onto plain paper and then gluing it to 1mm plasticard.

It was then a case of cutting each bit out and then re assembling it when sticking it to the door

There are a couple of bits to touch up but Im going to add damage anyway so Im not too worried

Great job! Are you going to paint it green like your tanks?

Thanks

Im probably going to do it grey (like the base of my Knight)

Im thinking a muddy base, grey weather beaten walls and this will make the greens pop more.

If I paint it all green then everything will be blended too much

Thats the door finished and ready for paint

Its had a few bullet holes added, a wash with milky milliput to give it some texture and a few rivets added

Its all primed now and ready for a paint.

Im going to try and get this finished to kick off the scheme for the bastion
