Loving the 2-handed axe version. £70 is steep but I most definitely would!

Randomly went on the GW site, saw that and immediately got goosebumps! This means GW are finally releasing the Greater Daemons in plastic!!

As I said in the rumour thread, very very tempted. Main issue I have with it is the pose - like other have said, kinda looks like he's dancing a jig. The description does say there's two sets of legs, but I don't know whether there's really any difference.

Absolutely no idea how I'd assemble that bad boy though!

I have the old metal one, and It was $45 when I bought it.. now they want $116.. and it's made of plastic.  Times.. they are a'changin.   I got the forgeworld Khorne prince for $80.. so this thing better come with a couple free tanks of gas or something for $116.    Sure the axe looks great and the model is done well, though I agree with the above that he looks like hes dancing a Jig or something equally weird...

I just cant get over the price for a remake of a classic model.  You can get a Stompa for $116

... is it me, or does those legs/base seem... unstable.

Pose isn't a lot different to the dragons, and the base is pretty solid too, so unless you fitted metal arms or wings, I'd be surprised if you ended up with an unstable model.

Personally, I like the kit, think the multiple varients in a single box is a boon to those of us who enjoy kitbashing (and to the bits resellers!), just wish it hadn't gone from "core purchase" to "buy once a year" purchase price.

Leg pose's a bit weird to me, but I really like the overall look & style of it. As for the price, I mean, this thing's pretty huge. Closer in size to the FW one than it's GW predecessor. Similar size & price to glotkin, or nagash, or Warmahordes Gargs/Colossals, so... yeah, it doesn't bother me that much. And GW's plastic is a better material when compared to pretty much anything else being used for miniatures games.

Apparently it's pretty sturdy on that base. I think it's a fantastic model and a million times better than that club handed metal one. What I just don't get is why GW feel the need to have it seem like it's not touching the base? The legs do seem odd, probably just perspective. Also, like Jeske said now they need to make the BT not crap in 40K, right now he's not really usable.

You can get the FW one for close to half as much.

Not from Forgeworls, unless you meant 'twice' instead of 'half'

But if someone likes a plastic model. The bigger problem is what to use the model for. Bloodies are hardly used.

This. Hopefully we see some new 40k rules for these BT variants soon.

All greater daemons hopefully.

Both types of legs are shown in tye pictures. I prefer the second set (not the ones used in the main photo) though. I actually think the bloodthirster on the box/main picture is the worst combination of parts from the box tbh...

I don't get why they didn't pit the flaming whip (ie, classic thirster) or the big feth-off axe (the one everyone's hype about) on the box cover, tbh.

If anyone gets one of these, DO let us know if the arms can be magnetized please~ (I'm going to get one myself, but it won't be for quite some time, I have a hell of a mini backlog)

I like it, but I'm actually more exited that Khorne Red is coming in a spraycan.

Have to say, that sort of thing is so helpful for a batch painted army and getting that consistency across the board!

I like most everything about him except for the one square-dancing pose and the fact that Khorne feels the need to advertise his faith on the back of the wings of his favourite minions. Seriously what was he/they meaning GW thinking?

He's already Chaos God#1 for all eternity just due to the fact that murder and bloodshed are more common than sand in the 40k universe.

Does he really need this? Where is the self-confidence, buddy?

Establishing a consistent brand that customers instantly recognize is essential to even the most established lord of the immaterium. It's a marketing strategy that if implemented correctly and applied consistently will pay dividends to Khorne Enterprises Inc for millenia!

Nope I ment half. a Fresh out of a press cost around 2/3 of store price of the plastic one, but if I ordered the plastic one I would also have to pay transport[and possible tax, but am not counting that, as I would be checkig them myself] which makes the FW cost 50%.

Also I don't know if people noticed, but the BT is horrible to transport. If new DPs will keep having consisten looks I dread for some people armies.

GW's :cussty currency exchange policies are an entirely separate issue that affects the pricing of all gw products relative to FW ones outside of us, uk, and eu areas, and is not particular to the bloodthirster. The retail price of the GW thirster is 70gbp, vs 148gbp for the fw. You're located ... where? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Pietropavlosks. As far as I knew, the worst GW currency conversion was for australia, but even there the retail price of $155ad only comes out to around 80gbp, still far less than the 148 gnp of the fw thirster. While it might be even worse in some other nations, I have a very hard time beliebing that there's a nation out there where GW is asking the equivalent of over 220gbp, which is what would have to be the case your statement of the FW thirstr only costing 2/3 the new plastic one to be true.
