Main issue I have with it is the pose - like other have said, kinda looks like he's dancing a jig. The description does say there's two sets of legs, but I don't know whether there's really any difference. Absolutely no idea how I'd assemble that bad boy though! Times.. they are a'changin. I got the forgeworld Khorne prince for $80.. so this thing better come with a couple free tanks of gas or something for $116. Sure the axe looks great and the model is done well, though I agree with the above that he looks like hes dancing a Jig or something equally weird... Pose isn't a lot different to the dragons, and the base is pretty solid too, so unless you fitted metal arms or wings, I'd be surprised if you ended up with an unstable model. Personally, I like the kit, think the multiple varients in a single box is a boon to those of us who enjoy kitbashing (and to the bits resellers!), just wish it hadn't gone from "core purchase" to "buy once a year" purchase price. Sception Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Leg pose's a bit weird to me, but I really like the overall look & style of it. As for the price, I mean, this thing's pretty huge. Closer in size to the FW one than it's GW predecessor. Similar size & price to glotkin, or nagash, or Warmahordes Gargs/Colossals, so... yeah, it doesn't bother me that much. I think it's a fantastic model and a million times better than that club handed metal one. What I just don't get is why GW feel the need to have it seem like it's not touching the base? The legs do seem odd, probably just perspective. Also, like Jeske said now they need to make the BT not crap in 40K, right now he's not really usable. I prefer the second set (not the ones used in the main photo) though. I actually think the bloodthirster on the box/main picture is the worst combination of parts from the box tbh... It's a marketing strategy that if implemented correctly and applied consistently will pay dividends to Khorne Enterprises Inc for millenia! Also I don't know if people noticed, but the BT is horrible to transport. If new DPs will keep having consisten looks I dread for some people armies. GW's :cussty currency exchange policies are an entirely separate issue that affects the pricing of all gw products relative to FW ones outside of us, uk, and eu areas, and is not particular to the bloodthirster. The retail price of the GW thirster is 70gbp, vs 148gbp for the fw. You're located ... where? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Pietropavlosks. As far as I knew, the worst GW currency conversion was for australia, but even there the retail price of $155ad only comes out to around 80gbp, still far less than the 148 gnp of the fw thirster. While it might be even worse in some other nations, I have a very hard time beliebing that there's a nation out there where GW is asking the equivalent of over 220gbp, which is what would have to be the case your statement of the FW thirstr only costing 2/3 the new plastic one to be true.
