We all know how this works by now, pledge some models to paint this month, build your armies, and enjoy the opportunity to stick it to the traitors/emperor. But, due to the dominance of the Xth legion in February, we'll also be having a bit of a Iron Hands inter-clan battle this month To join in, you make a hobby pledge for the month, and this contibutes to either the Loyalist or Traitor cause. We'll compete in a few ways: 1. Pledges - Loyalists and Traitors compete on completed pledges over the month. The more completed pledges the more points you win. You can make a second pledge only once the first is complete, and in doing so you risk your first pledge. That's right - pledges are all or nothing - complete your vows or live in shame. 2. Scores - Every model you pledge to paint is worth points. Once you finish the model and show us you earn points for your faction. These are always safe, so there is always an incentive to keep painting! The scroes are as follows - Scores Infantry - 1 point; Large Infantry (termies, bikes, rapiers without crew etc.) - 2 points; Monstrous infantry - 3 points; Vehicles - 6 points; Lord of War (including Primarchs)- 10 points. Titans - 15 for Warhounds, 20 for Reavers At the end of the month I'll tally up the points and pledges to see who wins. We'll also compare Percentage completions for each team, just to keep things interesting! If you want to fight in the Iron Hands battle, or declare your own personal vendeta against another Frater, just let us know! And I have 5 more to build so put me down for 10 doods for the VIIth. In the interest of keeping the peace with my wife I will be selling a bunch of my 40k stuffs to feed my 30k hobby***cough*** rèśïñ čråćk āddìćtíôñ!!!! As this occurs I will be able to add the lovely Polux, some Gorgons, a venerator, some jetbikes, some.... Ahhhhhhh.... So much rèśïñ I am excited that its warming a lil... OwlandMoonGuy Posted March 1, 2015 Share Posted March 1, 2015 I OwlandMoonGuy, being pressured by up-coming events and desirous to maintain a winning streak for Loyalists everywhere while also in extra special competition vs. my IH clansmen, pledge the following: the Primarch, Ferrus Manus, one Thallax with Multi-melta (why only one?) and one Devastation Drone conversion, in the month of March reserving the right to pledge more since I do have a Spartan and 10x Gorgon terminators ready to go and a Thanatar on it's way in the mail as I type this. Failing that, may I be thrown into a bed of leftover resin bits clipped off FW models until my skin become pockmarked, irritated and scratchy, thereby forced to display my reddened welts like a badge of shame for all to see. Time to tighten up your boot straps, and get your rucks on because this March in the "March of Iron" drink water and drive on, time to get this legion looking as well as it plays. My wife informs me that we've got some friends from home staying in our spare room at some point this month along with their 1-2 year old, so all of my dangerous sharp things and paints have to be put away. Fortunately it won't be this week, so I can at least get some stuff built, but at this point I don't know how much I can actually commit. So all that said... I, StruManChu, being simultaneously very glad about and slightly irritated by friends that will fly from Australia to the UK just to see you and spend time with you, do solemnly swear to build a Fire Raptor for the Emperor's own Iron Hands, because I'm sure I can get that done over the course of this week.
