Battle Captin Torodin Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 I have been slowly building this army over a year or so, now everything is painted to a standard i am happy with i am working on their bases, because i model isnt truely finished until it is based. I understand where you're coming from but i am going for the almost homogenous, rank upon rank look. Just a side note, the head is Emperors Children, i did consider Iron Warriors but didnt think a grey/silver helmet on a grey base would add much so went for a dirty/dusty purple. Battle Captin Torodin Posted March 31, 2015 Author Share Posted March 31, 2015 Thanks man, appreciate that. my method is: spray black, spray white (i find white over black gives a good base), base coat Averland Sunset (water it down quite a bit to get a smooth cover) wash with a mix of sepia and earthshade (about a 50/50 mix) apply averland sunset over the armour panels again leaving the wash in the recess, finally shade with lamenters yellow to make the yellow "pop" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
