B
rothers and sisters! Welcome to the inaugural Liberalia Martiale!

As you all know, the Liber has been a part of B&C for a long time. Almost since the beginning, really. It was decided earlier on this year to make a 'Liber Day' to celebrate the subforum and the members of B&C in general. So, as well as inviting all members of B&C to join us in thanking Kurgan the Lurker for creating this subforum all those years ago, my fellow Mods and I would like to encourage the one thing this hobby and the Liber Astartes absolutely relies upon - creativity.

Because of this, Team Liber will be posting up threads both here and across the wider B&C to help foment imagination, including leading by example and entering the Brotherhood of Angels event in the Dark Angels subforum. If any other members of the forums wish to follow and join in, then we fully welcome participation.

Incidentally, we know the day falls on St. Patrick's Day. This is more down to coincidence than intention, as we are basing the name of 'Liberalia Martiale' on two Roman festivals on the same day (the Liberalia and the Argonium Martiale). Do we expect everybody to type this name all the time? Not really, no. It is, of course, the formal name but during conversation 'Liber Day' will suffice.

For those of you proud to be a member of the Liber, we have a nifty little pip to place in your sig:

Remember that creativity will be the watch-word of Liber Day. If you have always wanted to begin writing background on your DIY chapter, then today is the day for it. Want to expand what you have? We're here for you.

There will be a thought exercise posted up by Conn later today and there will be threads over B&C encouraging the creation of your own background and your own forces relevant to that subforum. As for the Liber, continued work on already posted IA threads is good, as is the creation of new works.

There's also something else coming up to mark this day.

Brother Olis,
Do you happen to know a link/post for including said 'pip' in the signature?
I'm guessing it's possible to link to a common image rather than everyone saving their own version.
Have tried searching ('pip' is too small, 'signature' returns almost every post).

You may also place a link in the pip by using:

Useful if you want people to click on the pip and go somewhere, such as your DIY article or this very thread.

I must ask Brother Olis, what would be a creative way of celebrating Liver Day as it does seem a tad bit vague and unclear.

Well you always eat some Liver!

Or you could Check your spelling B is next to V.
