RedemptionNL Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Well, I got the Deathstorm box a while back - mostly to get the cool Broodlord that was included in it for my Tyranid army - but I kinda fell in love with the Blood Angels miniatures, especially with their new codex. So, I couldn't resist the temptation to start up another army (making this my fourth, after Tyranids, Grey Knights and Saim Hann Eldar). These plogs always work well to keep you motivated, and any tips or criticism are always appreciated. I got really inspired by armies that go for the more darker, weathered Blood Angels like those of LutherMax and Eggroll - instead of the bright red pristine ones that GW makes - so I fully intended to make mine in the same vein. But enough talk, you're all here for pictures anyway. Overall I'm happy how it turned out, especially the base colour. I really need to work more on those blood drop gems though, but I'll get the hang of those eventually (I hope). Also settled on a snow theme for my Blood Angel bases, which I'll be adding to the already finished Scouts and Death Company Dreadnought later. Sadly the snow doesn't photograph very well because it whites out very easily, but you get the idea. I'm less keen on the Sanginary Priest, but I think it's a personal thing as I've never liked robes or those wings. RedemptionNL Posted December 14, 2015 Author Share Posted December 14, 2015 As far as I've read up on it, I believe the yellowing comes from mixing it with the wrong type of (white) glue. That's an effect over the long term though, so I guess I'll have to see in a year or so, but most people using baking soda don't seem to have a problem with it. The one on the left has been removed from the default line-up and has been replaced by the powerfist guy because the axe wielder now looks too much like Dante (which I painted up after), hence the use of the same bits/pose. The current killcount record of 5 SG + Priest + Dante is 54 Orks in a single match (a combination of Lootas, 'Ard Boyz, Stormboyz and Nobz) without losing a single guy.
