With a nod to Acebaur in the Black Templar forum... and with the success of the searches for the owners of the other Adeptus Mechanicus limited editions, I thought it might be fun to do likewise for the 900 Ruststalker Limited Edition Codex Skitarii. It may be of interest to see how many of us are on the forums as well.

This is not meant as a criticism or jibe to anyone who did not or could not buy the LE versions. This is just for the fun of collecting 'Hard Data'.

This post will be updated as much as possible. We shall see how many of the 900 can be found.

It would appear GW much like the Mechanicum uses its own Flesh-cursed servitors.

 

Once the proper litanies have been said, the designated Alpha-servitor will turn the cap in the designated fashion to remove it from the marker. Then the bringers of the sticker-seal will affix it to the blessed container of journeying according to the Omnissiah's doctrinae. Once completed, the Alpha-servitor raises the marker toward the sticker-seal, speaks the wards of guarding, and transcribes the sacred number...

Also, as far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason to who gets what number.  I pre-ordered within 5 minutes of the webstore being updated and got 633.  I think it's just a matter of what box the mail order gobbos grabbed when sending them out.

Remember there are other factors to enter into the calculation. When exactly the codex was listed on pre-order for a particular country. How many pre-orders were being made from all of the countries involved. How many GW servitors were having fun scrambling the selected codex-boxes for shipment. Etcetera.

 

I would think the codex-boxes were probably arranged from 900 and counted downward. This would facilitate GW servitors being aware of exactly how many boxes were left for sale. Of course, this would only provide a 1.16% chance of you actually being the 267th person to place an order to receive the 633rd book.

 

In the end, it is all in accordance with His Grand Design for us. Omnissiah be praised.
