Greetings, fellow sons of The Angel! Been plugging away on my Sanguinary Guard. After not being 100% sure what my scheme was going to be for these gents I'm pretty happy with the way are coming along. Here are a few pictures:

The amount of activity in the Tower of Baal is unprecedented! I'm really, REALLY, impressed by the BA participation this year!

 

@ CorbuloDIY: Welcome to the ETL, and what a vow! Jolemai was correct to point out the 3,000 pts limit, you can keep the rest for subsequent vows! Good luck! 

 

@ Charlo: By all means vow it! It will be an out of competition entry, but if the ETL will give you motivation to work on it, so much the better! :)

1. I realised that your second vow is just 26pts short of 3,000. If you get to complete 3,000 in a single vow you get the badge of the Hero. I'will give you the opportunity to raise the vow to 3,000 (because it's ridiculous not to). So just work out another 25-26 pts and edit your vow accordingly. Let me know when you do that so I can amend the first page.
2. As regards the forum Champion, it's the participant of each Faction with the most completed points. In case of a tie, you get to have two (or more) Faction Champions... Not that it has happened before, but the theoretic possibility was always there and still is... ;)

Grazcruzk - that tarnished gold, almost bronze, is lovely.

Auberon - very nice work. The MK. II assault kit looks, to my eyes, to have some serious posing limitations, but you've certainly gotten some fairly realistic ones out of it. Very nice touch adding the Sanguinary Guard halo to the sergeant.

Captain, I added the before pictures to my OP. Sadly theyre taken with a crappy iPhone 4, but they'll do for now. More importantly, I am now back at home with my paints and so I am painting as I type! I must say, freehanding the Flesh Tearers symbol is getting really frustrating, but I shall persevere on!

Hey guys just a quick update to show progress, I've totally hit the wall here, I'm now only waiting on shoulder pads to arrive, then I can complete my vow and make another.

 

I'm painting my bikes as we speak.

 

I have also completed my lord, unfortunately I was not able to make a vow for him as I had already begun painting him.

 

Just wanted to show him off to keep the motivation flowing. First though my ETL progress.

Hi everyone,

I would like to first say that i do still continue to on doing my first vow and that i have actually done my test model so it's now about waiting for the detol to do it's job before i can begin fully on my vow and then complete it. However, due to my ignorance i will need to restructure the vow's points, since i constructed it using my old BA codex (can't remember the exact release date, but it was accurate as of the release of 6th). So, if anyone could be kind and send me the options for all the units i chose (the list is on page 10) then that would be very, very much appreciated until i can buy the new book. Thanks alot,

Until the doors to ETL IV are closed forever to new participants.

 

If you haven't yet vowed, do so this week. No matter how small (provided it's legal), no matter how little time you can commit (even if you only start it in the last week of July), every participant will help push us on to further glory.

 

On the third week update, out participants were rivaling the "so-called" ETL super-power of Codex and we were reigning in the combined might of Imperial Forces. You don't see us having to resort to allies, so you? We have done this through your enthusiasm and devotion to the best Marine Faction in the 40k world and for that, I tip my helmet to you. There is still time for us to reach 70+ sign ups and this will give us the best possible platform to dominate our opponents.
