Thanks to you, my fellow scions! I really love spears.. I've got a DC jump pack unit waiting to be painted that has a few converted power spears using GK halberds with blood talon claws for the heads. It's going to be Dante's unit, actually. Relic blades on the charge and hit-and-run is just awesome..

Hi all, quick question regarding the ETL;

 

Prior to the ETL I'd completed 6 marines for a tactical squad and still need to do another 4 with transport options. Am I ok to use these 4 (including a vet sarge) a pod and a rhino as an ETL vow? Or do I need to be creating a whole squad, so minimum count 5 marines? Ideally I can complete the squad, otherwise they'll have to wait until the end of the ETL. Cheers.

You'll need to vow a legal unit, unfortunately. If you painted up those four, and then another one bolter marine for another squad, that would be legal.

 

Personally, I've managed very little, but I have based my models, and set aside enough money to pick up some primer tomorrow.

@ Luca Pacioli: A beautiful interpretation of the attack bike! Well done on your completion! Now as regards your question, every entry should be a legal entry from the Codex (or an associated list). You need 5 Marines minimum to make a legal squad. If you have only 4 and you cannot get your hands on another marine mini, we can work out some sort of penalty of 25% for this squad. If you're happy with that we're on.

Well shucks first time I've really based anything too, figured I may as well put some time, effort (...and money) into it!

Got most of the cloth detail done until I buy a bone coloured hilight (don't even talk to me about that one on top the the jump-pack, the damned things are everywhere!)

Stuck the DC Legs to thier new bases, stuck the bodies together, glued the packs and painted the Chainaxes!

What colour shall I do the Purity seals? I'm tempted for classic red, but I want these guys to stand out from the red/black of my other dudes, potentially a purple?

Charlo - I like doing purity seals in screamer pink.  On black primer it comes out a nice maroon that gives a small pop of color while still being within the BA color theme
