Absolutely! Week 6 is generally a weak week across all forums. It is not usually until Week 9 that people spring into action. Now you have the SM and DA codex coming out which means a lot of people are keeping back in anticipation of the new releases so this is an opportunity for the SWs to utilise the time and get ahead!

 

Just don't let procrastination to settle in.

Second vow complete, murderfang, ven dread with axe and shield, and 2 drop pods with deathwind launchers:

While I'm at it I'll submit my third bow:

I bow to finish 5 wolf scouts with camo cloaks, 4 with sniper rifles, and a heavy bolter (94 points), and a wolf lord with frost axe, storm shield and jump pack (155 points), for a total of 249 points, before august 1st, for the glory of my mother. May my guts be eaten by a rabid rascal while I'm still alive and the rascal's feces be fed to me again should I fail.

Thx Ulrik! Yep, I split my time more or less evenly between the SW, BA and SM codices, with the same army. My color scheme resembles BA in the sense that the most brutal members of my army are painted black / dark grey as opposite to the white of the regular dudes (DC-like). Regular SM kits feel a bit bland, SW have too many wolf details, and BA kits are normally easier to un-BA, while carrying the right amount of bling for my taste :)

 

I do add details from chaos marauder bands here and there, to give some barbarian impression, without the wolf references. Removing the pointy parts of course ;)

 

Also use khorne berserker parts...chainaxes rock!

I haven't noticed too much specifically wolf stuff, the talismans and the pelts can be painted to reflect a variety of predatory animals. That's how I do mine, my Lord is wearing a black bear pelt cloak with a velvet liner, since that's the way I painted it (wanted to reflect nobility and wealth rather than just be the bog standard barbarian trope).

I just renamed a bunch of things and voila, less wolf more Viking.

This is taking me forever, as usual my time management is crap.

That cockpit rocks however!...I just paint mine gunmetal with nuln oil wash and call it a day smile.png

I paint the clear plastic black and forgo the contense entirely!! HAHA

Runepriest , I am coming back to the  State on the 22nd, I may be able to put in one more vow with those grey  hunters and maybe i can buy a box of cavalry to use the upgrade sprues on if your offer still stands let me know. 

I am glad to see everyone coming along with their  vows the true wolves are certainly working quite hard this year.
