Now all my high point models are out of the way, do I risk a third vow using the troops I need to paint, or do I pick up the parts for a special character conversion that I can definitely complete?

I would say go for the most points you feel comfortable with. If that means just the character, then just the character will do. We've got a lead to maintain now! Lets not screw this up with hubris!

so now is the time to hammer this home? we are out numbered and yet we fought our way ip to 2nd place and ONLY 1,6k from being in the lead, now os the time to go for it, ill say only vow what you are sure you can finish, and finish what you started.

as i mentioned im also doing a local painting challange at the same time. with the ETL my goal have always been tabletop standard on my vows, noting fantasic, but i have gotten a little carryed away one some of the bigger models, anyways my ahriman for my vow here i also vowed to the local challange so i went all oit on him and he is Ahriman after all, and he is all ready for battle

just need to find 6 back packs then the rest of my vow is built, been mad busy finishing off everything that needs priming, few last min conversions and sliced my thumb open not paying attention to what i was doing. if i can keep up with todays output ill be done by monday

Nein, I only got 2 parts of the Build it yourself thingy with 2 of my dollies :/ the bits of lament box i let my ex keep cuz she was 2 bits short, plus the pillar is much cooler.

Well... I just tried to seal the second Rubricae with GW gloss varnish... Seems to be to hot and humid over here. Now he is ruined. Let's see if I can save him with some clear varnish.

I mange to get yesterday as a day off.  Part that was spent going to Stirling castle try enjoy my type weather, then late afternoon was spent getting more painting done toward the knight

My friend just let me know the parts have been sent to help finish the Knight conversion - Skaven ball & chain from the Screaming bell kit.

Then tomorrow - If the Iron Warriors transfer are on sale tomorrow my friend going to pick them up along with my Primarch, the Lord of Iron & lord of the IV Legion: Iron Warriors.
Will Semper allow me to add the Lord of Iron to my vow 2......?  Ether way he getting painted as soon as possible.
