The knee pad was snapped off so FW are sending me a new one didn't notice in all the unboxing excitement and wasn't till I was looking through my review thread that I caught it...

 

So I've built his base plinth but I can't do much till the torso arrives I was hoping it would be here yesterday but the weekend is here now so fingers crossed for monday

Here we go, ladies and gentlemen. The Week 4 round up - the last Weekly update before the gates close. We have just a day or two left to squeeze in the last few new participants before the bouncers at the door get shirty. Here we see where the battle lines are truly drawn.

Some of the codex factions have been (blessedly) amalgamated into the Codex faction on the table, so that makes my life a little bit easier. No doubt Semper agonised over the decision to cut the table down a bit but it does decrease the manageable workload to a healthier package, imo.

Now, as I said yesterday, the numbers between my calculations on the daily and the numbers for this weekly will differ. This is mainly because of the activity between Semper's Weekly round-up and my own Daily.

Every major faction has seen movement at more or less a similar rate to last week. But we don't want to hear about that - what is happening with Team Heresy? Well, it's the same story for us too, actually. Compared to last week the only real difference between the Weekly round-ups is our completion rate, which is down from last Week. However, bear in mind that according to the latest numbers, we are in a better position than that in fact.

Do we still need to worry about the other factions? Yes and no. We have nearly double the points and completions compared to our nearest rivals, the FOTI and Chaos. But the FOTI has a repectable number of participants, leading the Chaos subforum by nine members. This, with the number of revows they are taking is worth keeping an eye on, as it is probably from them that we'll be seeing the fiercest resistance to our dominance.



And onto more eye candy for the Team - a little break down of how we've progressed so far. Yes, it's another table:

Week One
The first week was the one where the largest contribution occurred, naturally, with the lion's share of the participants, vows and points coming in these seven days. We also saw our first completion and revow in that first week - something i would consider a major boon for morale.

Week Two
The second week saw a significant slow down as the initial enthusiasm soaked up the majority of those willing to take part in Week One, but still a respectable number came to the Team at a rate of almost two members a day. Here we see a slight pick-up in completions and revows.

Week Three
The Week Three blues were where we settled into a rhythm that will follow into Week Four - We yet again see a slow-down in participation but seeing as this remained the case across the board, that was or little worry. Here we also see a good boost to our completions, with a nicely sized number of Fraters looking to revow in Weeks Three and Four.

Week Four
This Week just gone, Week Four, saw a rate maintained from Week Three - personally, I had feared that our blues would come in Week Four rather than in Week Three. This was not the case. In the closing days of the recruitment period, we are closing in on our nominal 100,000 point goal. We are just a scant few thousand off from making ETL history (again). Speaking of history - we have have the highest participation in the history of the event. If that does not tell you that this year is ours, I don't know what will.


As a final thought - please see if anyone else wishes to join us. We must keep the pressure on our rivals. The more they feel it, the better. msn-wink.gif

Shadowsword finished

 

So that's the Shadowsword finished ;) May get paranoid about it when I work on the Baneblade and revisit, but I'm happy with it. Right mix of camo and detail, I think, though hitting all the hinges with metal when doing the track skirts was a pain, lol. If I'm lucky, I'll finish them both before the weekend is out, but for today I have a different painting project: painting the bathroom.

I have a questions though, I am considering painting up my Stormblade, but should I paint it in DG colors och my IG colors?

It's more logical with IG colors or?

That is entirely up to you - if you want to paint in in Legion colours, I don't see why not. So long as it's a valid unit in one of the FW books, it's cool.

I am still torn, because I want to paint it as IG for my Super Heavy Company, but at the same time it would fit better in 30k with DG colors, and since I almost exclusivly play 30k DG would be better. But then again I already have a few Baneblades and such painted as my IG ... So hard to decide.

It is a legal unit so that is no problem, just really torn between DG and IG colors.
