Yeah I think it looks fine man. It's totally legit for Khorne dudes to be a bit bigger anyway since they are all maddened and berserk with rage. I also hate doing skin quite a bit.. Unless it's red or pink or blue daemon skin like all my stuff is. Human looking skin for some reason is hard for me. What colors and washes have you used with the above man?

Skin: Zandri Dust -> Reikland Fleshshade -> Ushabti Bone -> Reikland Fleshshade

Solid! Thanks for sharing. I think I have all those paints with exception of Zandri Dust.. but I can snag that today probably. I've shied away from the bare heads on my GK because of how much I hate painting skin and it never looks right. I'll give it a practice :)

2nd cultist done. We're cooking with charcoal now. Only taken 9 days. I think I work better focusing on one model at a time. Maybe get the basecoat on a few and then focus on each until done. Anyway, here's the picture. I'd like to get the 10 painted up before next Thursday as it's one of the rare gaming weekends (Thursday to Tuesday).

While working on the marauder cultists I'm doing a test model for terminators with lightning claws. They were originally going to be red butchers in my loyalist warhound post/during heresy Legion army (but that collapsed like the Great Crusade).

I started with the claws being more lightningy, but didn't like it so went for the blended colour instead.

Here's what I've got so far. Not very CSM looking but this guy has transcended that. I need to write some fluff for him. I'll think while I paint. One key thing is the Bloodgorged focus on killing the followers of other gods, hence the slaanesh and Tzeentch shoulder pads. All trophies will be painted based on chaos warbands. Edit: just to confirm the paint scheme is very old and will be redone.

Not sure about the eyes. The light was getting bad here. I'll have another look tomorrow and might redo it. Might also put a wash on the steel to dull it a bit. Finally might add some bloodgorged marks to the plates on the legs.

Getting things ready to heed the Call. Gal Vorbak arrived today (for my possessed) and IA XIII (which motivates me to finish the Contemptor (and maybe put my Spartan together). Hopefully put some more cultists together (I'll have about 40 in total with just 2 painted so far). And finally merge the Blood warriors into Berserkers.
