the Grand re-opening of Warhammer World is soon - this weekend to be precise! So, this thread will be used to collect any informations regarding the Horus Heresy from there, upcoming forgeworld models, fluff, HH black library news, etc ...

The Warlord is more than twice the resin of the Reaver. Perhaps the pics are not showing the scale. It is absolutely massive. It wasn't planned to be that big originally but Darren produced a mock up that size and was given the all clear. So it's all Darren's fault.

The next weapons to be released are the displayed missile launcher and a not on show Titan powerfist. Darren did say he will release the other weapons much more quickly than the Reavee waeapons.

Ultramarine Fulmentarus Terminator Strike squad - Cataphractii armour, combo bolter, power maul and Pertiarch Targetter (additional rules depending on how many squad members are in the unit, ranging from Night Vision to Tank Hunters through to -1 cover save). All members can swap the combi bolter for a combi weapon, Reaper Autocannon or a Cyclone launcher - all must have same option

 

What is the Domitar class battle automata listed in the 5th book? I need to know! And the new thanatar as well lol!

The new thanatar has 2 short range plasma launchers that has some decent fluff about a spat between Ryza and another forge world (who created the new thanatar). The launchers are 18" range with heavy 2 small blast but can overheat - note the book is in the boot and that was off the top of my head.

The domitar battle automata are redesigned Conquerer class robots with 2 grav hammers and a missile launcher. Around twice the points of a castellax!

Also about the new Ultramarines units we have the suzerian blingy dudes with shields and the new terminator squad (who can go full autocannons or cyclones with assorted power weapons and fists) we have a new jump unit too who all come stock with artificer armour and power swords  also ultramarines breachers can take (or swap their bolters, book is in car lol) power swords for 5 points.

I was terrified when I saw the White Scar marines...I really don't my last legion to be released just yet lol. I spoke to Alan Bligh and he said the intention is that in the next 4-6 months legion specific armour and pads will have been released for all 18 legions. He also said that he wanted Rites of War to be released for each so everybody could start their legion of choice. Awesome.

 

I asked what the next book will be. He told me that the next book will be out around Christmas. He is working on a lot of content for Shattered Legions, Shadow Crusade, Black Shields, Thrammas and Prospero. He couldn't tell me what the next book would be. I got the feeling that it hadn't been decided yet...

 

Next Primarch:

I personally believe that Simon Egan is working on Alpharius and that Edgar is working on Perturabo. Simon says work is going well but gave nothing away. Simon said that the intention is to be up-to-date before the next book is released. 4 more Primarch's this year then!

I tried to reserve the Tees and hoodies but was told it was a no go. Managed to get the event exclusives though which was cool. I still foresee an almighty charge to the FW stand though. Gulliman/Tempest/possible Warlord Titan on top of everything else will make it the place to go. Closely followed by the Black Library stand if they're actually separate.

 

Hoping to get time to talk to Simon/Alan again since they're always fantastic at these events and maybe, just maybe, can get a little snippet of what's coming next

Lord? Think you'll find it's Imperator Bligh. And If the opportunity presents itself I shall indeed make said offerings. Little chance of that though given how crazy bugman's gets during events and the last time I offered to buy him and ADB a bevvie they politely declined. We shall see however.

I put in a Reservation for the event (another £350ish of stuff, and I still haven't even got Tempest or anything else cool yet - d'oh) including the Event only mini's. Was surprised I could, and if I wanted could even order multiples of them, which is great if you want to guarantee getting them rather than gambling on the whimsy of the sales queue. I can only imagine they do this on the mini's because it's in their power to make as many as they need, and I'm guessing the lack of Reservation on Tee's and Hoodies is probably the fact they're ordered through a third party and only make a certain amount for the event.

At least if models / books are sold out on the day you can still get them delivered for free to your home before everybody else get's chance to order them, which is some concellation.

 

I'm interested to see what the exclusive FW store item is, could be really cool. Will definitely be picking up a copy of the Meduson novella (guessing it's a novella than a full novel) from the Black Library store, although by that time I'm guessing it'll be mid afternoon with little chance to actually see WW.

Same I ordered multiples. At least I'm not taking any from someone who wants it on the day. I'm quite impressed I managed to keep it down to £130 odd this time. But yeah that's without Tempest, the Meduson novel I've been asked to grab a few copies of not to mention the other exclusive stuff or impulse buying. If I crawl away without spending another £200-£300 I'll call that mission accomplished

ForgeWorld put out a mail last week to say that there would be Flash's during this week to let us know what new stuff will be coming for pre-sale. Haven't seen anything yet, but no doubt we'll see something tomorrow / Friday.

 

According to the Warhammer World website (http://warhammerworl...-grand-opening/) there will be a WW exclusive ForgeWorld miniature - but no-one knows what it will be, but should be different from the other two Consuls (which are Event exclusive).

Parker - Just to ask, you been to open day events that Warhammer World before?  Or is it just Horus Heresy weekender?  It just to find out what the best time would be to get over to Warhammer World on Saturday.  Place open that 9am, just wounder if it worth walking over for 8am?
Just this is my first out side Throne of Skulls event.  Not sure what to exspext.  One my worries is possible sort of Games Day rush we've seen which I don't want to go though.

 

Aim go to Forge World first, then see the display & catch up with friends.  Trying plan out my list for what I want to buy, but seen recent update not help me chose
