Blood Angel - 1500 Angel's Wrath

Hey just trying an alternate, semi-fluffy combination for my Blood Angels. I'd love to hear some feedback and thoughts on where to spend the last 50 points in the list. Here is what I have so far:

 

Rite of War: Angel's Wrath

 

HQ:

• Praetor - Artificer Armor, Jetbike, Iron Halo, Photonic Blade, Digital Lasers - 235pts

• Centurion Moritat - Artificer Armor, Jump Pack, Plasma Pistol x2, Refractor Field - 165pts

 

Troops:

• Legion Assault Squad - 10x Marines, Sgt. w/Artificer Armor & Powerfist - 275pts

• Legion Tactical Squad - 10x Marines, Sgt. w/Artificer Armor & Powerfist, Vexila, Legion Storm Eagle w/Dual Twin-Linked Lascannons - 455pts

 

Fast Attack:

• Legion Scimitar Jetbike Squadron - 3x Marines, Melta Bombs, Volkite Culverin - 160pts

• Legion Scimitar Jetbike Squadron - 3x Marines, Melta Bombs, Volkite Culverin - 160pts

 

Total: 1,450pts

The other option is to drop the tactical squad, take another identical assault squad and a fire raptor with hellstrike missiles and autocannons.

I would go with your second option. By having that second assault squad you have redundancy and more assualt threat. The fire raptor provides more firepower than the storm eagle and overall does more for your army. Seems like a very blood angels list, fast and assualty.

 

I've been interested in a angels wrath for my night lords have you found it fun?

I haven't run the Rite before honestly, so I can't really speak to it, but it does sound fitting for Night Lords! I had considered that and Orbital Assault as both lend themselves to the shock and awe tactics of the VIII Legion. I imagine Hit and Run Raptor Squads would be especially brutal, so maybe give it a try :)
