Using one of the WHFB structures as a base and building on it using the traditional 40k terrain pieces, gothic architecture and whatnot would probably be a good idea. A plain keep/stone keep would look a bit bizarre and out of place really.

Hmm I know in the 4th edition book in the back it showed a templar building. Though that was just a normal building with those shields on the top. I would use the whfb scenery or a castle for a fortification. With crosses of course.

This is a relatively small piece of terrain, made form the old DKOK underground building entrance that FW used to sell with a slightly modified Statue on the top. Its a little hard to see the Templar elements on the Statue, but around the base are the names of some of the High MArshals, the shield bears a vox and there are some Templar crosses scattered throughout.

While not painted or Templarised, this is a larger building which you could easily make, just need Bastions and Shrine of Aquila pieces. I plan on making stained glass windows to into the sections where appropriate:

Finnished the inside of a Chapter Keep this summer:

Its not very refined as it was all roughly cut with a proton hot wire, so the tiles are a bit different from one another, same with the pillars but the really messed up ones can be broken up to use as rubble or obsicles :)
