Hey guys. I've put together an initial list. This is something I'll be working towards. Any feedback is welcome.

HQ (210pts)

Legion Praetor (210pts)

Archaeotech Pistol, Iron Halo, Jump Pack, Master of the Legion, Paragon Blade

Artificer Armour

Mantle of Ultramar

Troops (660pts)

Legion Tactical Squad (330pts)

19x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla, Nuncio-Vox, Take an additional Chainsword or Combat Blade

Legion Tactical Sergeant

Artificer Armour, Power Weapon

Legion Tactical Squad (330pts)

19x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla, Nuncio-Vox, Take an additional Chainsword or Combat Blade

Legion Tactical Sergeant

Artificer Armour, Power Weapon

Elites (480pts)

Apothecarion Detachment (90pts)

Legion Apothecary, Legion Apothecary

Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought (190pts)

Extra Armour, Two Kheres Pattern Assault Cannons

Legion Terminator Squad (200pts)

Cataphractii Terminator Armour with Combi-bolter and Power Weapon, Chainfist, Legion Terminator Sergeant, 4x Legion Terminators, 3x Power Fist

Fast Attack (290pts)

Locutarus Storm Squad (290pts)

9x Locutarus

Locutarus Strike Leader

Power Fist

Heavy Support (460pts)

Legion Spartan Assault Tank (345pts)

Armoured Ceramite, Dozer Blade, Flare Shield

Legion Whirlwind Scorpius (115pts)

Lord of War (400pts)

Roboute Guilliman (400pts)

Master of the Legion, Primarch

Plan:

Tactical squads each joined by an Apothecary. They advance up towards objectives. I've taken extra combat blades to fill points. I figure this will give them an edge over regular marines, or help them hold their own against assault squads.

Praetor joins the Locustarus and jumps up a flank, looking to assault a scary unit. I'll go for an equal split between swords and axes in the unit.

Guilliman joins the terminators in the Spartan and they push forward at the biggest threat. The Spartan can then park somewhere and open fire if it is still alive. I plan on giving the tactical squads interceptor with Guilliman. This will give really good deep strike defence, with up to 40 shots per squad unloading into targets that have just arrived.

The dreadnought stays back and acts as anti-air if needed, or can push up slowly and act as anti infantry. The Whirlwind will stay back and bombard enemy backfield units.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Shameless bump. Any feedback would be great. I'm very new to the heresy and I only want to buy models I'll definitely be using.

I'm keen to see how the Locutarus go. I just worry that they will attract a heap of AP2 fire (which is abundant in 30k). I think a character with a Void Shield Harness relic would be pretty handy in there. Plasma still requires a 5+ to pen the shield, and it will protect them rolling heaps of saves from FoTL or massed lasgun fire.

Also, maybe get a plasma blaster on those Termies? Seems a shame to not use such a potent short range weapon when they will be marching out of a Spartan.

I like the plasma blaster, I must have missed that completely.

Hopefully the Locustarus will be able to hide in cover until a point they can charge. Part of me just really wants to build them.

Where are the rules for the relics? I have the crusade army list and Tempest and don't see any rules for it?

Thanks

I can't believe I'm saying this but...

You might want to give the Locustarus some Plasma Pistols or Hand Flamers (up to 3 in the Squad) to make use of their Double Pistol Shot ability?

You also might want to consider finding 10 points for augury scanners on your Apothecaries, as they effectively give the Tactical squads 18" Interceptor. This will allow Guilliman to grant Tank Hunters to something - a MUCH better upgrade. Even Implacable Advance would be ok if you put it on the Locutaris, as they're very mobile.

Guilliman really promotes choosing multiples of the same unit. My personal favourite idea is 3 Tank Hunting Sicarans with lascannons - would be solid against everything.

I'm not too sure about deep striking them at all if I'm honest. And 3 pistols is 45 points to find. But like you say, 6 shots on landing is very good.

May I suggest you run 3 10-man Tactical squads in Rhinos instead of 2 20-man units?

Interlocking tactics benefits a list with greater number of units.

I also think 5 Invictarus Suzerains with a dedicated transport Landraider are more attractive than Cataphractii Terminators, and that would save you some points too...

That, alongside no longer needing Apothecaries should free up points for... A second Mortis Contemptor armed with Kheres? Guilliman could award them both Tank Hunters which would make them scary to all ground and air vehicles!

I like the Locutarus, they're basically the same as 40k Sanguinary Guard. Perhaps give the Praetor a Thunder Hammer and drop the Archeotech Pistol?

I want to stay away from transports for now, as that is now I play in 40k. I like the allied of big squads.

For the Suzerains, I will get them at some point T as they are lovely, but for now I'll stick with the terminators. I already have those models half finished.

What I love about the Locustarus is that with all power swords they can easily double as great looking Vanguard Vets.

I think your suggestions will make list 2.0 :D
