It's freezing cold here in Ohio, but I'm painting so fast that my brushes are hot! I've finished the squad of Terminators you see below. Let me know what you guys think.

Memorial site for Legionnaire Revalius, 1st Sergeant of the Blood Angel's 77th Company. Martyred at the Battle of Signus Prime, his grave marker stands as a testament to his bravery and sacrifice.

Well, just when you thought you could write me off, I return with more Blood Angels! With the fervor of 8th edition a bit quieted and the opening of a new GW store in my area, I've returned to the Blood Angels I know so well. Here's to the first of many more!

Looking billiant as always but I really love that objective marker. It’s so much cooler to have a thematic, modelled objective rather than a dice or a coin. Edited by Corswain

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I kept busy by painting and throwing some dice down at my local GW. I lost a tough game against some traitorous Death Guard. It was heartening to see all of my boys in red arrayed for war together as one force. Pictures below! (I know, I need a new camera.)

So uh... I got distracted. I don't know where this is going, maybe nowhere, but inspiration struck and now I have a strangely well-painted test model sitting on my desk, judging me. Anyway, let me know what you guys think. C&C would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks! Leadbelcher over a black basecoat, wash pure Nuln Oil, drybrush Necron Compound, wash with a custom wash that is composed of 80% Agrax Earthshade and 20% Nuln Oil. I stop there, but you could theoretically apply another highlight of Stormhost Silver at the edges.

Man, I'm definitely digging that Iron Warrior feel.  The silver in particular is absolutely perfect, leagues away from the 'clean' Grey knight silver and perfectly in the roughly pitted but not rusted or damaged use.  Man, I definitely gotta try that some time.

Needless to say, love it.  The striped pauldron's field edging is kinda tricking up my eyes and telling me that it's one of those glossy button effects as the striping goes further than the edge lining.  Not bad, just plain neat.  But as someone who has to face Imperial Fists a frustrating amount... I'm definitely a fan!

Thanks Vykes! It's all patterned after my hobby hero Hyaenidae and his Iron Warriors. If you've never seen them, you're missing out. Here's a link to his brilliant thread!

Okay gang! Here is the 100% final test miniature. I did the rivets in Stormhost Silver and added the chainsword. Any more thoughts? Next on the desk are some Iron Havocs to do double duty for the Legion and a CSM list.

Another minor update-- A dead Salamander for an objective marker! A nod to the running rivalry between my Blood Angels and the Salamanders of BlueBelly1863. More substantive updates are coming soon, as I've got two Dreadnoughts on the painting desk!

Niiiice, very nice, mate!  Hah, never thought about using something like a raven in the mix.  Very cool.  I'm tempted to steal that idea for an apothecary display base.

Looks great, heh, got any battle pics against them Sally Anns from the 18th for us?
