I've completed the renegades and the 5 marines, glory to Lorgar!

Here are the 5 marines with the rest of their squad and a Dark  Apostle on my Armies on Parade board, I cant get proper pics at the moment as they are in my store window, so this will have to suffice:

Now to choose a second pledge...

the BT looks sweet dude! But there's only one pledge per frater in the CoC....

Yep, Def. read the rules wrong, I assumed one could pledge multiple times. Ah well, at least I got one done with time to spare!

Bloodletters are done. Quick and dirty paint job and still needing bases painted but I have to move on if I've any hope of finishing this vow. Have built the bases for the Bloodcrushers and Jugger Lord today.

oldschoolsoviet:  How is the Kytan legs to build/pose?  Still chose about maybe getting one for Christmas or another Chaos Knight to complete my 1850pts force.  It'll still be bought, but just find out how other hobbiest find building them?

Littile progress

I've spent this week painting up the Rhino for my Bloodborn unit.  It almost there, since the photo where taken I've added the transfer.  Then hopeful get Forge World weather powder added to the Rhino this weekend?  As well as stamp a Khorne icon onto the top hull, like the Rhinos from the Warhammer World chaos vs Ultramarines display

@Insane Psychopath

Well that Kytan has normal Knight legs, the resin ones are on my other, Dogface. They are fairly posable, and with some accurate measuring turned out okay. The more complicated the pose, the more awkward they'll become though.

VOW COMPLETED. Huzzah!

I mean, unless this challenge is really intense and you guys require a couple layers of clearcoat to be considered finished. 'Cause I still have to do that. But, I mean, that's going to happen this weekend anyway. So yeah, clearcoat aside, they're done. I'm happy. Enjoy the show:

This was fun. And put a nice dent into my large pile of models in need of paint. A nice collection worth 650 points (before adding any fun bling, weapons, or mastery levels). Time for a new project. I'm thinking it's about time I painted up my melta Terminators. Probably. Or, grab a handful of basic CSM and put a dent into that (large) pile. Cultists too. Hm. Or, there's the brand new (to my table) full squad of Thousand Sons that literally arrived yesterday, I could do those. They tempt me. So many choices!

Anyway, the journey continues. Paint on my Brothers. Hope for the Hope God. Change for the Change Throne.

Great stuff, Scourged. I particularly like that Helbrute. thumbsup.gif

Looking great, Scourged. That helbrute is a really cool conversion! Good idea on the clawed toes. thumbsup.gif

Heh, thanks to you both. Long ago, I had the idea of a daemon bursting out through a Helbrute and just had to make it real. And after that, using a Flamer arm as a heavy flamer just seemed natural, too. That guy was my pride and joy of the whole vow.

And yeah, the claws! I had pretty much finished with my conversions on 'im, when I looked at the feet and said "yeah, those are way too boring." Gotta use all those Warp Talon toes we've all got sitting around somehow, amirite?

As a prefix to my comments below - it's not my intention to put out the Scourged's excellent Hellbrute conversion - I love it.

It's one of my big regrets that daemonic possession (as vehicle upgrade per the C:SM 1999) was withdrawn from Dreadnoughts in the 2002 and 2007 versions. I had some real fun creating such conversions. The current 2012 version brings in Helbrutes but with the fluff that these are incarcerated (and insane) marines. I can well imagine that the incarceration in such an engine brings a screaming visage to anyone, even without any god's "favours" !

Still longing for the day that Helbrutes can have a real daemonic possession, to enable some outlandish conversion work. sad.png

Right, some might wonder where I vanished too.

Well thing is, I had my Bloodletters half done... and then assignments hit. I have an exam soon. Buuuut. In the gap between it, the Chaos Gods have graced me with painting to relax myself with. So the Bloodletters are done, and will be posted with a picture soon, although I plan to complete the slaaneshy herald first. Make it a purely Demonic post.

EDIT: And as I promised...

Like creatures made of soot and ash, of the darkness of war, these Bloodletters follow the Hallowed Word as they descend into battle, summoned either by the sorcerous magics or rituals of the core of the warband, or the acts of bloodshed by the more vicious member, often gathered together into a warband much akin to the Khornate Daemonkin. Those rare few who survive a battle are forever haunted but shadows with bones of brass and eyes of blood. Unable to look into shadows for long without swearing that something is staring back.

Simply going by the title of the Herald of the Hunt, this Slaaneshi Herald is rarely seen on foot in the field of battle, riding either on her Exalted Seeker Chariot or upon a Steed of Slaanesh. Often called by the acts of excess and hedonism that the Hallowed Word partake in, she is a somewhat Chaotic Ally, often arriving when she seems to feel there is a great hunt to be had, riding out of the warp and into the material realm, occasionally accompanied by other Seekers of Slaanesh. She rarely waits for others, meaning that only the likes of Ivo or other Bikers are able to keep up with the frenzy of their less mortal competition. Whispers go around the camp that her role is greater and she is the one that commands the Warband's Slaaneshi contingent and allies. Some even whisper she is a part of the council that leads the warband. The only ones who truly know are those who lead.
