Some more progress on my Contemptor dreadnaught conversion. I am so pleased with how the TS corpse is coming along.

The only good Thousand Son is a dead Thousand Son! :)

The idea is the Contemptor has crushed the leg of the dead marine.

Feedback welcome.

So I've been working on a new project that I've had sitting around for a while. My first Imperial Knight. He will be a Knight from House Hawkshroud. I found a great tutorial on the Tale of Painters site and I really like how the yellow will contrast against my 40k Wolves.

Edit: I need to sort the lighting out I'm not sure that you can see the shading in this light.

Your work is amazing.

Last summer I bought a box of the 'Renegade' game so I now have two Imperial Knights to paint but every time I see one that's been painted really well it makes me more self-conscious and afraid that anything I do will look quite bad in comparison.

Thanks I really appreciate the compliment. I've had this Knight sitting around for ages because of almost exactly the same thought process. Once you get started though it is not so bad at all and actually a lot of fun. Give it a go!

The Knight looks good, though his colors make me think, 'Imperial Fists,' instead of 'Space Wolves.'

Thanks. That really was my plan, I wanted the Knight to be a huge contrast to the style of my army. After all he is an allied Knight not a Space Wolf. He does wear the badge of the great wolf with pride on his knee pad though.

A bit more progress on my Knight. I've applied most of the transfers, I just need to finish the base and so the leg banner. Then I'll do battle damage and weathering.

Those are wolfkin bases.

I do not know why it has taken me so long to find this thread. Your stuff is phenomenal.

I like the use of the death guard dread as a SW, and your painting is spot on. Raptor & Sicaran are ace too!

I haven't posted an update for a while but I have finally made some real progress with my Fire Raptor.

I have also pretty much finished my next squad of Vlka Fenryka so will try to post another update tomorrow.

Any comments or criticism welcome.

Where did you get that wall section from?

Will the bases with the dead Thousand Sons be used for Thunderwolf cavalry, for bikers, for Dreadnoughts, or as footrests for an Imperial Knight?

They are Wolfkin bases ready for Freki and Geri.

I've also got a bit further on with the Wolf King's base still a bit scared to start on the Primarch himself yet.

Lastly I am working on a Stormhawk Interceptor for my 40k Wolves. I haven't decided yet whether to continue the camouflage pattern I have used on all my other 40k Wolves vehicles or if I should go for a different scheme. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Looking good Carrick, and welcome back :smile.:

Thanks Dantay, good to be back!

Looking good, the ruby red discarded helm and sapphire gem both stand out nicely against the grey of the base and Russ' cloak. They draw the eye and add a bit of pop.

Really appreciate the feedback

First time going through your thread, excellent  painting and conversions. I really liked the camo on the tanks, that was a nice touch! And the wolves bases were really cool too!

Thanks a lot for looking. I really enjoyed the painting the camo it was a good steal :smile.:

I’ve almost finished Russ now. He’s assembled and just needs final weathering.
