Great to catch up on this project dude! Loving the additions!

 

Massive fan of Oleander Koh, he really looks the part! Keep up the good work.

Thanks mate, great to see you back here! I am slowly getting there with the Emperor's Children! I'm kind of over painting pink! Just a few more half done projects/units to finish off!

What a fantastic army! Really like your choice of purple.

Glad you like it mate! It was a real tough choice which shade to go when I started off, but I wanted them to hark back to the classic artwork from collected visions and the Index Astartes article.

Armies on parade shots look fantastic! You EC definitely look every bit of perfect.

 

Koh is also looking stunning. I may have to pick up these Bile books when time allows.

I highly recommend the Bile books, they are set shortly after the heresy, so plenty of Legion references! I couldn't put Clonelord down, but I won't spoil it for you.....

 

Anyways, here is a few shots of my Apothecarion - I'm determined to get a large contingent of Apothecaries, might run them as Sgts just to emphasise the importance the Third placed on the gene-seed! Got a few more in the works.....

Happy with that -i think heresy is still a little too niche to get the win, or maybe people don't like pink....

I've not really had a lot of time or inclination to do much hobby in the run up to Christmas. Luckily I've had a few days off and decided to treat myself with a treat! I've had this project in mind for a long time and treated myself to the necessary bits just before Christmas....

 

Any guesses as to what it'll be??

Those screens are really well done.

Thanks matey! It's a real chore painting so many little buttons and details! I've still got the work station to do and am still struggling to motivate myself to finish it! Better get cracking - hopefully this little update will get me back on track!!

It's a little extreme owing to the gloss for transfers and pin wash, but I'm pretty satisfied with the pink!!

The Land Raider's colors are beautiful; I like how the purple fades into the pink.

 

What's the horn/thorn on the rear? A mutation, i.e., the tank was subjected to Daemonic possession? Or a decoration, maybe a trophy taken from a Daemon of Khorne?

Thanks! The pink will be toned down a little but if you are doing pink, always go full pink... it's a nominal loyalist vehicle so it'll be festooned with Aquilas! The horn is just the masking tape applied to keep the glossy silver underneath clear

A little bit of an update, been working on the sides as I can do these pretty much separately from the other bits whilst I await other bits and tinkering before fully assembling!

It's still glossy, so it'll settle down once I've got the matt coat on and the gold finished!

Thanks! I was really tempted to cut corners but as I was painting it in bits I just focused on doing what I could see! Now it's closed up I probably didn't need to go so crazy.... oh well....

 

Really like the shelving and clutter on and below it; really characterful and well painted too.

I wanted to make it a little more interesting than the engine bay, as you'll soon see it's going to be a Command tank....

 

Geez dude that's so amazing!!!

Thank you my friend, I'm pushing the boat out on this, just wait for the next big reveal....

 

So here it's all sealed up, I'll add a few chips the body, then start on the crew and tracks!! Finally it's starting to look like a tank!!

Where'd you get the Aquila-shaped ballistic shield around the tank commander's cupola?

It's from the Command Land Raider kit, chopped up mercilessly....

 

 

I've been working on some crew members - I was trying to figure a out how to put them in the Raider, however I couldn't come up with anything

A little deviation from the Land Raider, I've a few things to paint pink that I forgot to do first time round, so I'm prepping the Command Rhino that I've got left to do. Need to get the interior all done and sealed in, so here's what I've got....

++Name the Legion++ a few fraters have, over the years sought to enlist the help of the community in naming their marines. I know most of them die inglorious deaths, but I've put a lot of heart and soul into building them, so they deserve names!

 

I will start off with the Veterans, but I have 2 tactical squads, support squad, jet bikes and speeders awaiting photographs and then names..... So drop me a PM and I'll name them! I feel a Roman/Byzantine theme would be appropriate for the Emperor's Children, however anything from 'Old Europa' would also be befitting!
