So I am the president of a newly formed tournament committee in Winnipeg, Canada called "Plains of War" (PoW) what we do are two things, we host open gaming on the first Tuesday of EVERY month at Reset Interactive Ultra Lounge and starting next year we will be hosting a 1850 point 40k GT. Open Gaming: Out open gaming is very simple. on the first Tuesday of EVERY month the PoW staff set up tables (mats, terrain, etc.) and players come down anytime after 5:00pm and can arrange or join up in pick up games. We have no requirements in terms of models needing to be painted. We do ask that over time just show some progress on your figs. A nice added perk about Resest is its a bar/pub/lounge so you can enjoy a few adult beverages at your gaming table and also order food if you choose too. Another perk is its WING NIGHT!! and they have over 50 flavours! our group has run them out of wings on a couple occasions already which is hilarious! Plains of War GT: Our Tournament is the primary reason for all this work! Currently Winnipeg has a decent tournament scene but no official GT. So PoW has decided to jump on board with the ITC and run a 60 player tournament here in winnipeg. Currently our first event is scheduled to be held on August 27th and 28th of 2016! The rules have been modified slightly for the GT so PLEASE take a moment when you can to go through them and IF you have any questions please feel free to ask on this page or contact Scott, Wes, or myself. 2. There is a decent sized group of people that really enjoy our tournaments and travel frequently to play in them. So Myself along with a couple others really wanted to bring a larger GT to winnipeg.
