Hi guys, after getting the most famous Betrayal at Calth box, I would like to read your opinion about my 1500 NL army:

Welcome to the VIIIth brother!

It's refreshing not seeing a Terror Assault list, even if I am a fan. You're utilising the BaC box well there - only need to add another Contemptor and the Assault Marines, right?

Speaking of Assault Marines... They're a bit overpriced, but can be utilised to great effect. You need to put power weapons on 1-in-5 guys and the Sergeant, and add in a choppy character (maybe add a jump pack to the Chaplain?). But seeing as you're going for Night Lords, I'd take Night Raptors and be done with it. They're better in every way. Full stop.

What do you have on the Terminators exactly? Combi-plasmas are pretty good for nuking a unit quickly, but the grenade harness is useless if you have power fists/chainfists/power axes (as you're already Initiative 1).

List is ok. Bit light on anti-tank, but that is pretty normal for Night Lords. You're going to find 2000-3000 point games are a standard in HH, so don't be surprised if want more stuff soon! :)

Hope this helps!

Personally I'd drop the assault marines and get a Terror Squad instead. Armed with Volkite of course. You're giving them a significant shooting option and they're better than assault marines in assault as well (Precision strike, preferred enemy infantry, fear) you're losing some mobility but point for point they're a much better investment

First of all, thanks to all for your comments.

The general idea of this army is the following: the two tactical squad are the core of the army, they advance to get to grips with the opposing infantry, with the contemptors guarding the flanks and reducing a bit the enemy´s numbers. The assault squad, armed with melta bombs, is mainly aimed to suppress any significant enemy tank force. Besides, its mobility could provide backup in any infantry combat (and don´t forget this shinny jet packs from maxi mini: http://maxmini.eu/conversion-bits/torsos-and-arms/iron-pattern-jump-pack-bits)

The terminators (due to the low points amount) are reduced to its most basic level. Their main use is deep striking to outnumber the enemy and get the benefits of the Talent of murder rule.

I find the idea of using terror squads or raptors really appealing, but they can´t get melta bombs for all the squad, and that is a problem in a, as Caillum said, very light anti-tank list. sad.png

He, he,... I must confess I don´t play WH40k since the Rogue Trader times, so all your advice is greatly appreciated.
