Project updates, purchases, builds, painting, games etc... so thought it might be a cool idea to start one here if the mods don't mind. So, to get things rolling... Today, I bought Kaldor Draigo and received a delivery of bits that will see me make a Psycannon-wielding Paladin along with another Paladin. Got pretty much everything I want for them now (2 noteable exceptions are the Forgeworld Dreadnoght & Land Raider) Decision needs making though.... I had an old door lot knocking about for it but it didn't fit properly so I've added another FW one to my 'to guy's list. Now just need to work on the main body and arms/weapons!! Was hoping to have it done over the Christmas holidays, so I could start my paladin squad but was a little to busy with family and prior arrangements! varchilde Posted January 4, 2016 Share Posted January 4, 2016 Today I remembered to post that my "Tale of Some Gamers"* vow I made on New Years day includes some hefty Grey Knight reinforcements including a Dreadknight, 2 Librarians, 10 Interceptors & 5 Purifiers. I also clipped all my GK bitz off the sprue into my handy new storage box to try and save some space. Sooooo many purity seals! * "Tale of Some Gamers" is my gaming group's annual modelling/painting challenge thing. Usually involves everyone painting at least some stuff and much mickey taking when vows are failed. Wobbly pics of mini's tend to appear at various points during the year. I have some of the models already, but just waiting on a few finishing touches on the rest. After facing hard match ups against really really shooty Tau armies, the call for aid was sent and one particular chapter responded by sending a small task force of drop pod, scout squad with their Landspeeder Storm, and squad of Centurion Devastators to bring magnificent graviton technology into the fray. Leading the reinforcements is none other than accomplished and famous Ultramarines chief Librarian Tigurius. This pleases Grandmaster Draigo in such a force he plops out of warp to offer his aid in coming campaign. I understand centstar has fallen from its glory days, but idea is amusing to me. It was a good game and my first against daemons. We went to turn 5 before I called it a day...we had one objective each and linebreaker but he'd scored slay the warlord and first blood. We just have so many weapons against them... banishment built in, force weapons, and anti-psychics. I have to ask what was he playing? The new Daemon Decurion? Or a CAD? What was so strong in the list? He insta-killed one of my dreadknights on his turn one with some psychic witch-craftery. Damn daemons! Okay... what ability was that? Didn't cross my mind mate, know you're not difficult! I know, when I said I'd be playing GKs, I thought he'd have gone away from the Daemon idea, but it proved to be a pretty fluffy battle...apart from the end result!
