Always have loved the ironclad great mix between normal boxy dread and the contemptor.

Here's the color scheme:

Black primer

-

Blue: Army Painter deep blue -> Army Painter ultramarine blue highlights

Metal: Army Painter gun metal -> Army Painter plate mail metal highlights

Black:  Army Painter matt black -> Games Workshop dawnstone highlights

Light grey: Games Workshop ulthuan grey -> Army Painter matt white highlights

Yellow: Games Workshop ulthuan grey -> Army Painter daemonic yellow -> Army Painter matt white highlights

Gold: Games Workshop gorthor brown -> Games Workshop auric armour gold -> Army Painter shining silver highlights

Red sand: Army Painter dragon red

Wash gold with seraphim sepia, wait for it to dry, then NULN OIL ALL THE THINGS

 

Only the dreadnoughts have highlights, the librarian has none save maybe on the white rock on his base.

I started those before blackshields were confirmed I believe. They're pre-Angron, or post-Angron War Hounds that never met up with their primarch. Or even an alternate universe where the Emperor let him die on Nuceria and they changed the white of their color scheme to black in mourning. I never really thought about it, I just wanted to paint Legio XII that wasn't white since I was sick of painting that color at the time.
