Posted this up in TITHI, but I figured I'd post it up here to share with a more specific audience. This is the end result of my December 12-January 16 vow for another group, with the Valkyrie I painted for this campaign included for effect. tongue.png

Love the tank camo, you should be populating a nice WIP with these images :)

We're over half way through the first phase now so this is the downhill part - get your vows complete by the end of the month! Some more progress shots would be nice too ;) However that's still a fair amount of time should anyone fancy joining in now for a smaller vow. If not there's always the second phase which will start immediately after the first ends :D

I, Nismogrendel, hereby pledge the support of the forces of the Foxhound Scratch Company under the command of LtCol Volontir rear echelonry, to the reclamation of Lutum in the name of the Emperor. The contribution of two Armoured Sentinels at 80 points will do their duty no matter the cost.
Regiment Name: Foxhound Scratch Company
Regiment Commander's Name: LtCol Volontir rear echelonry
Regiment Commander Description: LtCol rear echelonry began his career with the Planetary Defence Force on Finreht in the Agripinaa sector. Shortly after achieving the rank of Sergeant, his squad was assigned to look into reports of missing persons at a local mining settlement. Arriving and finding the settlement deserted, rear echelonry's squad began to search the town. While investigating the mine, the squad found the cause of the disappearances - Genestealers. The squad was assaulted and decimated, rear echelonry, separated from his squad with no supplies and no ammunition, somehow managed to sneak out of the tunnels and flee back to his post. Knowing that the situation was dire, rear echelonry contacted the Inquisition. The next day an Inquisitor arrived with a small retinue of Stormtroopers. rear echelonry led the fireteam through the mines and helped purge the Tyranid infestation. After the battle, the Inquisitor offered Sgt rear echelonry a position in a newly formed unit - the Foxhound Scratch Company, which rear echelonry proudly accepted.
rear echelonry prefers a small agile force. For the Lutum campaign, he assembled a two man Armoured Sentinel squadron. These walkers would be his eyes and ears. Able to scout ahead, but also able to engage the enemy if needed.
Regiment Overview: The Foxhound Scratch Company is the unofficial name of a small band of veteran soldiers and tankers assembled by various Inquisitors. When an inquisitor comes across a soldier with desirable talents or intelligence, that inqusitor has the option to draft them into Foxhound. The target is approached, the offer is made, and if accepted the correct bureaucratic strings are pulled. They are quietly reassigned to the Foxhound Company and they disappear from the rosters of the Astra Militarum. This pool of soldiers provides the manpower for the Inquisition's clandestine operations. Inquisitors have also been known to recruit their personal bodyguards from the Foxhound regiment. Soldiers have been drafted from every known regiment, with the majority coming from the Cadian and Catachan armies.
The unit is well equipped. The regiment colors are red, black and grey. The combat uniform consists of red, black, and grey tiger striped fatigues, black flak armor and black boots. The weapons are brightly polished metal, however some soldiers preferring to paint their gun casings black.

As requested by the health and well being officers ahem Commissariat here a status on my pledge Life Guard PCS WIP

Regiment Background:

Observed Strategic Tendencies:

Inclination towards close quarter combat, with specialisation in urban warfare and bunker clearance. Units equipped with higher than average number of flamer and melta weaponary to suit close quarter conflict. Regiment also incorporates greater percentage of abhuman squads within regimental structure, to act as a spear tip for frontal assaults.
Secondary tendancies included Psykic supremacy tactics multiple battle psykers and squads employed to overwhelm opponents. Senior Commanders suround themselves with numerours high level psykers to best direct the regiments might.

Colonel Leukas Prins

Some commanders ask their attends for the latest supply manifests, troop training rosters or deployment scheduales. None of this interests Leukas, he can be more often than not at his desk with a glass of strong liquor in one hand and tarot cards spread across the desk. It is not to say that he is an incompetent leader more a superstitious one. You generally dont stay as a company Colonel for 20 years if your incompetent. No, questions of tactics, deployment resources and not dealt with via the judgement of rational mind, but rather through the winds of fate through his cards guided in his decisions by his adjunct Psyker.
However fate is fickle mistress.....

Made a bit of progress. Washed the whole thing with nuln oil, painted a bunch of spots black to go over with leadbelcher/gold/etc. Gotta step it up this week to finish these two.

Not sure if I will paint up the little scopes piece that goes on the roof. I kind of like the flat tops.

The grunts are done laugh.png

Started on the Chimeras and should have made some decent progress for the photo booth on the weekend.

I plan to be all done with time to spare before the deadline - the 711th will be parading with the rest of The Emperors finest at the end of phase 1.

I, P3AKHOUR, hereby pledge the forces of The 189th Tebessan Expeditionary Force, under Colonel Faizal Danek to the reclamation of Lutum in the name of the Emperor. The contribution of one Tauros Venator of the XXVII Qom Aksar Artillery Company (Forward Recon Section) at 75 points will do their duty no matter the cost.

Regiment Name
The 189th Tebessan Expeditionary Force

Regiment Commander's Name
Colonel Faizal Danek

Regiment Commander Description
The young Faizal Danek attended the Imperial Military College in Nusrata, graduating as an officer with the Tebessan PDF. He was placed in command of a mining outpost garrison in the twilight band which had regularly fallen under attack by Allayl raiders from the night side of the tidally-locked planet. Finding the outpost woefully under-manned, and realising his forces may not be able to repel the next raid, Danek ventured out into the Allayl tribal lands with a local missionary named Father Marcos as his guide and interpreter. After gaining the trust of the Allayl elders, Danek began to trade small quantities of pilfered goods with them, in exchange for furs and other items only obtainable by the skilled Allayl hunters.
When Tebessa’s Imperial tithe grade was raised, Danek was quickly inducted into the officer cadre and placed in charge of the newly-formed XIV Tebessan Armoured Company. His command experience coupled with a gift for maintaining heavy mining machinery making him the most qualified officer on Tebessa to command the 189th Expeditionary Force’s freshly acquired tanks.
In the 20 years since the formation of the 189th, Danek and his heavily customised Leman Russ Punisher Emissary have led the Expeditionary Force in hundreds of engagements across many worlds. Throughout his military career, Danek has kept his old friend and confidant, Father Marcos close at hand, together they have been instrumental in the recruitment of thousands of Allayl tribesmen into the ranks of the 189th.

Regiment Type/Method of War
Being an expeditionary force from a relatively peaceful backwater world, the 189th have never been engaged in combat on their home planet. The nature of the army emphasises long range, self-sufficiency and mobility. The vanguard of the 189th is the XIV Armoured Company, which employs Leman Russ MBT’s, mechanised heavy infantry and sentinel reconnaissance walkers. In larger engagements, the XIV is supported by self-propelled artillery from the XXVII Qom Aksar Artillery Company and air support from the Imperial Navy 46th Strategic Air Command. Every soldier and vehicle in the regiment must be able to carry their own rations, ammunition and equipment, often for days at a time over harsh terrain. The infantry carry lightweight Accatran pattern lasguns and special weapons, whilst the tanks are characteristically loaded up with spare parts and supplies. Hailing form a desert world, the 189th are often deployed to harsh-dry climates where their desert warfare skills are an invaluable asset to any commander.

Got a lot of work done last few days, I think I am 50% there. I'm trying the sponge/leadbelcher weathing technique for the first time. My first sentinel is on the left, current pledge is on the right. I have only weathered the toe/foot so far. I like the way it is coming along. I might add more leadbelcher dabs later, not sure if it is noticeable enough yet.

Almost a last minute vow there P3AK but still over a week which should be plenty of time smile.png The WIP is just to register the start so the picture doesn't need to be great. Well done to you too Brazen for an excellent completion - two Vendettas finished off very nicely indeed and if you're interested that of course puts you in the lead for Lord Commander!

Brother SP, your models will be expected to be completed in phase 2... ;)
