Looking great Logiter! Love the pose and parts used!

Now as for myself this evening, I ... I ... I just don;t know what happened to me. My eyes befell upon the Templar cross on Champion Ennil's chest and I was suddenly blinded with a holy light filling me with RIGHTEOUS ZEAL! and my actions were on instinct and reflex. When the light left me, I was greeted with a complete Command Squad retinue. ph34r.png

At first it was Apothecary Iachar, standing amongst the open detritus of a besieged city:

med_gallery_26154_4148_266768.jpg

Then, as this holy light took a greater grip, Banner Sentinel Luhmann was assembled in a form befitting Rogal Dorn:

med_gallery_26154_4148_1187391.jpg

As the holy light in the vision became brighter, a heat followed and the inspiration to create Brother Sanacta wielding a Plasma Gun:

med_gallery_26154_4148_646798.jpg

And finally, as the light's zenith of power and purity encompassed all thought an action, the commander of the squad would be created, armoured in a sacred variant of the Mk VI 'Corvus' pattern of Power Armour, Veteran Sergeant Galard:

med_gallery_26154_4148_506564.jpg

And after all this holy work had been done in the name of Dorn and the Emperor, the light faded, leaving only my work behind.

So, bascially, I forgot the one model vow. I was far too overcome by RIGHTEOUS ZEAL to make a complete squad in the name of Dorn...

Backstories for each of these sons of Dorn will arrive soon! Now what else is there to build, the light directed me to a pile of Templar pieces and a pair of moulded shoulder pads bearing the Templar Cross... hmm...

I'll bite.

I , Lachdannan , Son of Dorn , Descendent of the Heroic VIIth Legion , do here by pledge to fully assemble an infantry model to symbolise glorious siege warfare. This I shall accomplish before the given deadline which is blessed by Rogal Dorn and the Emperor of Mankind.

Since there is no painting required, and I'm on holidays, I should be able to do this for once!

Alright, second model completed!

Chapter Champion Sebastian was recruited from holy Terra itself and being left-handed, like our primach Rogal Dorn, excelled in hand-to-hand combat. Years after he was enlisted into the chapter, his brother, Theodoric (first completed vow with hammer), was also brought into the Imperial fists. Each of them on their own have been known slay ranks of heretics and xenos with ease, but to have them fight side-by-side in close combat is a sight of absolute glory as they fight with a burning loyalty to Dorn, the Emperor and a biological connection the predates their integration with the geneseed.

Also, here are some pictures of the remaining honor guard - not to be considered as part of any vow.

Logiter: Thanks for the link!

Dosjetka: Cheers!

Well I had a productive evening last night, and got more than a model done. I seem to have fallen into the righteous path that others have done and assembled and based more than 1 model. Never to mind, got to model while the mojo is there.

I present the last members of my Huscarls, Dorn's bodyguard. This now brings their numbers up to 10.

I think I will make another vow, and assemble another model, something I have been waiting to do for a longtime.

Cheers!

Outstanding work Lachdannan! Really characterful miniatures you've created. :) Glad to see I'm not the only one with the 25th Anniversary Banner still left in their box. I need to build something with that at some point...

Veteran Brother Rashid, 1st Company, VII Legion

"The Watchful Knight"

Brother Rashid was a quiet one by anyone's standard within the Templars hollowed ranks. While many of his brothers chose blade and shield he chose the holy bolter, simple and unmodified. He would always say if it is good enough for the Primarch it is more than suitable for me. In battle he was always stoic, bolter at the ready. Never one to boast about his abilities, always taking in the situation. Always keeping an eye out for trouble with bolter in hand.

+++++++

Then came the siege... Always at the wall. Keeping constant vigil for the terrors that wanted in. When the palace was finally breached he and his brothers made the traitors fight for every hall and intersection. While falling back they came across a group of civilians. His brothers wanted to leave them behind, but not the stoic knight. He told his brothers "What is the point of all of this if not to defend the people. We are their knights. It is by our duty that we defend them. Go Brothers!!! Take the civilians... I shall show our brothers the price of treachery."

+++++++

After the siege his body and gene seed were recoverd. They found him against a bulkhead surrounded by dead and bolt casings. Bolt pistol discarded at his feet, magazine empty. His body ravaged by bolt rounds and blade. In his hands was the bolter he had carried in battle. Cradled as though he was back on the walls. The Watchful Knight's vigil never ends, Not even in death....

BRACE FOR IMPACT

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/Disruptor_fe404/40K%20WiPs/project_lance_co_04.jpg

Knight Seelix is Squad Agathon’s skirmisher, always ranging ahead of the others when terrain is rough or built-up. His squad knows this has more to do with Seelix’s natural predisposition than any formal designation; Seelix is, to put it simply, a brute. He revels in capitalising on any opportunity to crush a foe against a bulkhead, or to trample a trench-fighter underfoot. Seelix is a merciless battering ram in cruel and callous Astartes form - a weapon that Knight Agathon wields accordingly.

I Brother Soric, Son of Dorn, pledge to fully assemble and base an infantry-sized model symbolizing glorious siege warfare. I shall accomplish this before the given deadline in the name of Dorn, the VII Legion and the Emperor!

Figured I should give something like this a try and considering that the boys in yellow are one of my favourite Chapters along with the recent success of my Heresy Era VII Legionary. I also noticed recently that a lot of my Death Watch marine models have mainly been hailing from more successor chapters than first founders and that I should rectify that.

Here’s the parts I plan to use for the conversion:

-A Dark Vengeance Tactical Marine body, because I really like the poses and build of these models. So I will either be chopping off or trimming the Dark Angel shoulder pads down so I can fit the metal ones on.

-Imperial Fist and Death Watch Shoulder pads, both leftovers from a bitz order from the fabled times when GW use to have a bitz order site.

-FW MKIV Backpack, really wanted to use one of these to spice his armour up a little.

-A metla bomb, because nothing says Siege Specialist more than a marine carrying an explosive charge made for Breaching bunkers and destroying tanks.

-Catachan knife, for all them times when you need a big knife in close quarters.

-Assorted ammo pouches and grenades for that gap under the arm holding the bolter and because even a Space Marine needs all the ammo he can carry when taking on the enemies of Mankind.

Cheers, Cambrius! I have been holding onto that banner for a long time, waiting to use it somewhere. Glad I finally found a use!

Decided to go with the helm, rather than the head, as I like it much better.

Thinking I may next do up some Templar Bretheren.

Whaaaaat? :o Where has the time gone? And how come you're all so productive?! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

*breathes slowly*

Right. I cannot fail this! For Dorn, the Emperor, and Terra! Death to the Enemies of Mankind!

P.S. Multiple vows are allowed but they do not generate any extra points.

Well, I got round to making some Templar Brethren. Won't count for the challenge, but thought I'd post it all the same.

Well been busy busy with my contribution, a little nervous about whether or not I'll be able to get him done in time as I've got two birthdays to celebrate this weekend, but I will try and face this challenge like a true son of Dorn and persevere.

Imperial Fist Deathwatch Conversion stage 1

First step in the process was to remove the shoulder pads on either arm (I know I could have simply shaved down his right shoulder pad and painted the Fist emblem, but I'd be damned if I wasn't going to use the Fist shoulder pad). This resulted in the left arm coming off completely, so I had to reattach it and fill in the gaps with GS, to give me the following.

Imperial Fist Deathwatch Conversion stage 2 Front

Imperial Fist Deathwatch Conversion stage 2 Rear

Imperial Fist Deathwatch Conversion stage 2 Right

Imperial Fist Deathwatch Conversion stage 2 Left

There are still some gaps to be filled in but I'm certain once they're done and I start painting I should be able to breeze through him. Also I do have some fluff written up but I'm hoping to post it alongside this guy when I'm done.

@Dosjetka - Have faith brother, we know you can do this :D

@Wyvern & Lachdannan - Your Templars are looking great.
