Among the red stones of Pallas...

Holy Emperor! (Might not be appropriate here, sorry!)

This is, in all seriousness, the first time I've seen DeathGuard which had me like 'em enough to think I could actually consider them for a possible army. That Meros Valerian is phenomenal!

Death Guard Siege Breaker

New addition is a Siege Breaker for my death guard. I went for a kind of butcherknife-twohand-cleaver-thing to underline his distructive nature.

Saw this on the Instagrymmes earlier today (well, sort of. My phone screen was too dim to see the contrast in the photo :P) but now that I'm on my PC I can actually see well enough to say it looks awesome. That weapon is something amazing, especially the hand.

Really glad to see you back man, that Death Guard looks the part to me. Before the Rot sets in and still ready to wade through fire to get the job done.

How do you take your photos if you don't mind me asking? The effect is stunning.

Can we get a closer shot of that Chem Master for the Grave Wardens?  I do like the greenish, ghostly effect on the face there.

Also, do you have more of the Devastators finished, or just the one?

It is just the camera lighting, or did the armor on the Centurion and Chem Master get much darker and more dirty than that of Meros and the Siege Breaker?  (those earlier armor tones were perfect in my opinion).

1. Three devastors are still open. Just noticed i forgot to post the second one here. Theres's also a contemptor, a stormeagle and a Rhino halffinished on my table but I haven't got the time to finish them just now.

2. yes, i wanted to make them darker, Even more worn since one of them has 200 years of crusading behind him and the other one basically lives in chemical warfare.

i really love this guy! That Nurgle symbol on the armour is such a creative touch; as are the exhaust vents similar to the fully corrupted GW Typhus model. It give this guy that subtle show of transition from no corruption to what he will become.

Keep it up thumbsup.gif

Quality is exceptional spex. I'm interested in how you spend your hobby time, each model feels as if its been crafted one at a time however you mentioned there are several things on the hobby bench..

thanks, mate.

They are all crafted one at a time, thats why it takes me so freakin' long to get something done pinch.gif But I am very unfocused in my work, I have to say, thats why I have more than one project on my table. It can take up to 2 years or something until I finally finish a model. Often when I sit down to "work" on my models I do here some coversions, there some bases, there a basecolour, there some oilwashing, somwhere else some decals and so on. It allways takes me some time to get to the actual painting and even then I have to really get into the flow and do it in one swoop.

These death guard are so inspiring. I have been toying with the idea of starting DG as a second legion army and this has convinced me!

I would be really grateful if you could give me a rough guide on your paint scheme, I'm nowhere near as skilled a painter as you, but i'm keen to try after seeing your amazing results!

Your models look exactly as I picture death guard

I hope to see more of your work :)
