Alternative Sisters

Sororita Katya

Recommended Posts

I have seen a lot of people asking for alternate models, and as our range is limited in what it can take from GW, I thought it would be good to pin a post for all models that could be used as "counts as" for those of us who can't mould or redesign metal (such as myself) and for those that don't want to change their original models.

Mainly for stuff that you can't buy from GW anymore, but anything that would suit the theme of our Sororitas please post

Tentatively approved, although the pin may be dropped pending a reply from the Adeptus Terra.

Edit: OK, that was fast. This topic will be Pinned for the next two weeks, after which point the pin will be removed and a link to it placed in the Resources thread here.

Usual thread necromancy rules will not be applied to this topic if and only if the new post has a new alternate model suggestion.

Found this on BOLS whilst searching for alt sisters models:

The eisenkern valkir models combined with female headsets seem to work pretty nicely (the bolters look oversized on them compared to on a marine, which i like):

Oh wow, those Valkir Sisters look great, no more nonsensical, counterproductive boobplate for a start! I always thought Power Armour should look at least a little bulky or oversized on non-enhanced humans, and this does that perfectly. :)

Aye that was my thought!

Raging Heros miniagures.  Keep an eye out for the 2nd Toughest Girls of the Galaxy kickstarter.

You'll need a Pinterest account to view all of the range.

Ladies and gentlemen, "Sister Cookie."

Call me a curmudgeon, but I just don't see it. The extra money the actual GW models cost is worth it.

Me neither. They could be used as a Death Cult Assassain, given enough work (the bare flesh painted or make to look like a body glove or syn skin, if that's still a thing)

Every time I see someone bring up the Raging Hormones stuff, my immediate assumption is: This is either person who knows nothing about Sisters and wants to be helpful, or a person who just wants to taunt us and be a troll.

I've made a bunch of sisters with the Valkir + female heads combo. They are pretty awesome. The armor looks a bit bulky, but the Valkir models are great to build so it's worth it. They come with some longer "heavy rifles" that I use as meltaguns. I've picked up bits of flamethrowers, combi-meltas, and other stuff to fill in the gaps.

One annoying thing is making some with heavy bolters. I don't like how the weapons of the Valkir heavies look. I tried to stitch together a heavy bolter from a devastator squad, but I gave up.

Think the raging heroes one are OK as you say, when sprinkled about. I much prefer their models when they havent gone totally over the top with the proportions and puttings nuns in catsuits etc, but some of the models are downright daft.

Saying that, the daemonette range they seem to be doing does look excelle......***PURGED***

In the TGG2 range, most of the unique characters have sexualized poses (flaired out hips, etc). Some of the squads look pretty good though and have more of an action type pose.

Some of the basic troopers and !Seraphim look OK, but any goodwill or openmindedness I might have had was quashed by the hyper stupid character sculpts combined with what seems like the entire internet telling me how great they are.

It's too late; I hate them.

I've seen some pics (which I cant find right now) of heavy weapons sisters using the Valkir Support models (shown below). seems easy enough to get what you want either using what they have or taking SM ones.

I actually think those are the best ones, I've been using that to be a multi-melta. The other four that come with the kit are:

• A weird dual-wield machine gun thing

• A grenade launcher with a rotary clip

• A laser cannon looking thing, which would be cool for space marines but Sisters use HEAT RAYS because heretics need to be burned

• A thing that kind of looks like a heavy support weapon but without the boxiness or bulk of a 40K heavy bolter.
