So, little bit of ETL progress done, need some help going onwards, guys. This is WIP shot of my Consecrator RW Knights. While it's not apparent, the etchings under scrolls on the front wheels are dark green, same as plasma talon bodies. The scrolls, wings etc will be bone colour. There will be red stripe on top of the bike - ie front wheel cowling, top of the seat, back cowling, however I am at complete loss as to what to do with the ornaments on the fuel tanks and the little skill on the winged banner. Currently looking at 3 options:

A - chainmail into black wash into silver highlight

B - silver into red wash into silver highlight (would work best on the huntmaster bike)

C - red

D - bone

Still got a lot of work on the plasma coils, general cleanup of the whites etc so I don't need the asnwer right away, but any opinions and advices are welcome, as well as any pointers and C&C towards the already completed work on them. Thanks

Would this qualify as - Nakir's face is surprisingly young, gaunt to the point of being skeletal. His eyes are a piercing blue, at odds with the mop of black hair on his scalp.

Gaunt and skeletal, I do understand. I have no idea what mop of hair is supposed to look like.

I'd say that qualifies as mopish. Especially as far as marines are considered, who are usually shaven or have close cropped hair (unless they're a mangy space wolf).

By the way, I loved your short story on Amnon's "induction". I thought I'd commented on here earlier, but clearly I was wrong

So, finally pushing along my ETL batch. Here are my 3 Knights, waiting for bases to dry and get painted. Took the Knights for their first game on Friday afternoon, against another 1500 pts Unforgiven force. Lost 15-11 but Librarian Nemethiel now begs for paintjob, since he took down 7 assault marines in 3 turns, after the heroes below blew themselves right after outflanking due getting hot...

Well, somewhat back after long break caused by lack of skill operating electrical saw... Finger saved, albeit split in half and sewn back, but I can hold brush and airbrush again. Even though I am affraid I will fail ETL in my first year, I managed to get on with the vow.

As always C&C welcome.

(Interrogator) Chaplain Zacharius - terminator armour, Consecrators Chapter; his base is finished for the purposes of ETL. Any further work and detailing will be done as soon as Zacharius completes any tabletop deeds of Valor and will get trophies put there over time.

Man! the Consecrators look cool.  Very old school.  I suppose with all the HH stuff coming out there are a lot of bits that one could use to make some awesome Consecrators with "Relics" from the past.  I have been toying with the idea of building some DA successor squads and fielding them with my DAs.  Let the Administratorium wonder (if anyone survives to tell them about it).

Great looking Consecrators!  Top notch painting on the models and bases! Very clean and sharp highlights!

I really like the jump pack for your interregator chaplain.

So, after finishing the ETL and seeing the Consecrators fully painted, I have decided to throw myself at it full-time, building my 2nd demi-company as Consecrators (already have 1 minimalistic demi company as DA green). This project should take me around year to complete at this stage, most likely never be done because there will be dire need to add more new plastic shiny stuff... and expand to Full Lions Blade with complete detachment to use as display piece and gaming army.

Following is my planned chart of things; green is for things already finished, orange is for things that are in progress - either with purchased models or different stages of completion. I am posting it to use the brainpower around here to bounce the ideas and maybe get some other usefull suggestion.

The idea behind the list is - at least for stuff not yet completed - to go along the Consecrators theme, that means mixing new and relic armour and equipment; in the sense that the more fluff-important unit gets the more majestic/older gear. There are legion predators planned, old pattern Rhinos etc, but given the cost of these they will be added as "extras" during the time of loading.

That truescale Azrael sounds cool!  Can't wait to see it.

Was thinking long and hard about how to make the LoW stand out from all other marines and truescale came to mind, especially since I found very nice and clean tutorial at Master of the forge... Grand Master Nakir however has some detailed description in books already, so I will have to carefully plan before I start assembling.
