We have surpassed anything that we have achieved over the past few years. I am proud of you all!!

 

We are 4th for recruitment and 5th for completions, so there is still room to improve.

 

We have less than 72 hours before recruitment ends and we cannot then add to our numbers.

Wow, you people are already jumping into second vows... incredible. Keep up the good work.
Hope my Arjac will look half as good. And very nice Wulfen, Gnalbel! Simple, clean, practical, dark, fearsome. They look quite like mine, but I only painted one as a test... maybe in vow 2?
(At the end of ETL we should collect a gallery full of group shots of the full forces each of us painted.)

First full afternoon I could FINALLY spend on our hobby. HURRAY!

Basecoated the rest of the models. And I was able to coat the lower half of my Thunderwolves - with the CANS! And it looks really well, hope it helps cutting a bit of time.
Quite proud of that... Only got the idea when I found my girlfriend's white can.
Well, atleast it worked until that can ran dry. (Bad idea to spray the scouts in white, too... but they´'ll be light grey, so I thought it was a good idea. *sigh*)
BUT, it has it's good sides - it'll make them look different from each other: Two wolves are half black/half white now, one will be fully black, one will be white (The iron priest's mount, to let the metal on it shine), one will get something special. Don't know what. Maybe spotted face or white paws or so.

 

I finally got my model for Annika Jarlsdottyr and the Custodes. Preparing those while the coats dry. They'll be out of competition vows.

 

When the coats are dry I'll start on atleast one character model. Cypher maybe, to get back in.

Alright,

 

So not too much happening today. Did a bit of work with metallics.

 

 

Got ot say I am struggling a wee bit.

 

Does anyone have experience with GW air metallics?

Do they benefit from thinning?

 

I have found them a bit runny and easy to make pool on the models.

 

Also what about other gw colours, can they be converted to airbrush-able paints?

If so how much do I dilute them by?

 

Lastly, the tanks are looking a bit mono-chrome. Any ideas on how to liven them up a bit?

I have sort of set my heart on naming the tanks after the norse valkyries, and the flyers after great dragons of mythology.

Unfortunately I can only fond 3 names for Norse dragons, so other suitable names might be considered (I named my first Fire Raptor, Night Fury after toothless from How to train your dragon ).

I might consider famous eagle/hawk names if there are any.

@gnenthaal: Awesome flyer brother, as are your Fenrisian Wolves, great job!

 

@Dantay: Your flyer is coming along nicely, too Brother, as are the tanks. For breaking up the rather uniform appearance I'd recommend doing some panels in fittingly bold colors, some yellow and red maybe?

 

as for myself, real ife makes progress like wading through a waist high swamp while being eaten alife by bugs, as a hobbit...^^

I go mostly base fleshtone with maybe a bit of pink mixed in. More pink/red conveys a fresher wound, while basetone/pale is older.

 

Go for whatever compliments your colors best!

Gw does water down screamer pink over the scars on there bloodreavers. Then they paint Rakarth flesh for a highlight if I remember correctly
