Ehm, Captain, I have a question. What's with scenery? Can I f.e. add the new Armoured Containers to a vow? Or do I have to "chaos" them up? Just curious ^.^

Absolutely you can add containers or any other kind of scenery! :yes: Obviously given the neutral nature of the scenery, it can be used with most armies (unless there are specific rules disallowing it which I don't believe exist) and it's totally up to you if you want to give it a Chaos blend. But it's fine if you don't. :)

Will try to tack the new banner on to the sig. at some point soon, but just to clarify something (and no offense taken), the first letter in my forum name is a small "L", not a capital "i" .:) :) :)

So far I've base coated the sorcerer, the marine squad and lucius' armour. Got the armour and base coats on the possessed and chosen done as well.

 

I'm on track to finish vow 2 by Wednesday and will be jumping into vow 3 straight away.

Well, if the event were to end with the stats of that update, we'd win.

 

This isn't an excuse to start slacking, mind. The gods are harsh, and as we have been told, they demand MOAR!

 

After my fruitful midweek burst of painting, Grandfather Nurgle decided to ramp up his blessing to me, and I've felt as rough as a Great Unclean Ones backside the last few days. Gonna try and crack on today and get the highlights finished on the three bikes I'm currently working on.

Thanks Augustus! Well I suppose I have been a little quiet lately. If I had something sensible thing I would have completed my first vow by now. But I decided too vow the whole force as one hit.

 

I didn't actually think to get any fresh photos, but I can dig out a sample from my photo bucket. I really do feel like I've made an accomplishment, even if I was fool hearty and vowed it all as one.

 

So here is a slide show of some stuff I have gotten done since making my vow.

I, Brother Kortmer of the Black Harvest, rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete

  • 1 Great Unclean One complete!
  • 1 Renegade Command Squad with two extra Disciples; Command net vox, Banner of Hate, autocannon; Primaris-rogue witch Arch-demagogue with plasma pistol, Chaos Covenant of Tzeentch complete!
  • Renegade Leman Russ tank with heavy stubber complete!

from Codex: Chaos Deamons and Imperial Armour 13 of combined points value of 500 485 points on or before August 15th, 2016. Success will bring eternal glory to the Dark Gods and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end.

I'll edit pictures of the built models into this post shortly.

Please note that the command squad is still missing the arch-demagogue. I managed to get my hands on all the required bits though and should be able to put everything together in no time. The tank had been primed and rusted up earlier this year, but I stripped everything off it after a failed experiment with masking fluid. (The ultrasound bath loosened all the carefully placed magnets in its hull and I literally had to cut it open to fix everything up again. That's when I put in a drawer, under lots of other random crap, and I only pulled it out the other day ...)

After moping about the last couple of weeks thinking that I wouldn't be able to ETL this year, I'VE ONLY GONE AND FOUND MY STASH OF UNOPENED CHAOS STUFF! *cue more dawn of war chaos marine laughter.* devil.gif

Off to work now for a couple of hours, but I'll have a good rummage through when I get back and see what I can vow! B)
