dracpanzers ETL vow Sisters

Recommended Posts

In order to not cloud up the ETL thread with pics and posts, I'm starting this thread to hold my WIP pics and posts. Currently putting the finishing touches on my first Dominion squad after cleaning and assembling my second Dominion squad. But for now, I've gotten some work done on my Repentia living saint. Mostly just working the shrine ruin into the base and getting some pinning done to hold the girl up. This puts her at roughly the same height of the Celestine model, still looking to clean up the green stuff around her feet, work in some chains and scrolls to further support her, and then work some skulls into the base itself.

Thoughts and Comments appreciated!

They are table top based, I don't put the finishing touches on the bases until the army is complete, keeps it more consistent.

First dominion squad- superior with combi-melta, four dominions with meltaguns complete.

Did a bit of work on my second Dominion squad today.  Work intervened and I wasn't able to get them based but that is all that's left for them to be table top ready completed.  Was working with natural light, pics aren't the greatest, my apologies.

First dry brush of leadbelcher over all the metal bits on the model.

Vow 20

Picked out the icons with white to help them be brighter than the armor on the comleted model.  Karnak stone on the face.

Vow 21

Mephiston red on all the armor.

Vow 22

Mournfang brown (?) on the pouches.

Vow 23

Model gets a wash of nuln oil on everything but the face, aggrax earthshade wash there.

Vow 24

Painted robes and hair with abbadon black.

Vow 25

Highlighted robes with Eshin gray.  Hair with light drybrush of dawnstone.  Pouches highlighted with karnak stone and then an aggrax earthshade wash.

Vow 26

Highlighted armor with wasdakka red.

Vow 27

Will have pics of the entire squad up tomorrow.

Second Dominion squad completed.  Has a combi-melta conversion from a helmeted storm bolter sister for the superior.  But it also has a meltagun Dominion who has been converted with a helm.  Pics suck (wife hates bright lights in the house) but I would appreciate thoughts on the conversion, nice, unnecessary, did you not notice?  That's what I'm hoping for, subtle and clean.

Finally got to the club tonight and was able to snap a few pictures with some good lighting.

Excellent work drcpanzer! Love those Seraphims!

I just wish you posted bigger pics like the one below, so we don't have to click on each one...

Thanks Drider, had way too many stormbolters just setting around. Snip the barrel of a plastic marine melta, clear away the left hand stormbolter barrel, glue and your done.

Semper, tried PM'ing you about the pic size, says you can't receive messages.  Where do you modify the image size in the gallery?

Thanks Drider, had way too many stormbolters just setting around. Snip the barrel of a plastic marne melts, clear away the left hand stormbolter barrel, glue and your done.

Semper, tried PM'ing you about the pic size, says you can't receive messages. Where do you modify the image size in the gallery?

All you need to do is:

Go to the picture you want to show in your gallery and select it. On the right, there should be a button that says "Options". A drop down menu appears, the first option is "view all sizes". Select it. The page changes to show all available sizes. Click on the size in a red font that you want. The picture then resizes to the one selected. Click on the picture so that it shows on the screen by itself. Now right click the mouse and select "copy image location".

Now, to show the picture in you post what you need to do is paste the url along with two pieces of bbcode (one at the beginning, the other at the end). It will then show the picture in the post.

Example:

Hidden Content

Which is the result after you enter:

or: the link with:

at the start and:

at the end smile.png

If you're still unsure, you could give me the link of a picture in your gallery and I could send you the completed link back so you can see how it should look. Hopefully what I've posted makes sense! blink.pnglaugh.png

That's just like the format on other forums which I can do just fine.  B+C doesn't allow me to actually paste anything into a reply.  If I click on the image link it brings up a image URL box, pasting the image location in it locks up my browser.  The only thing I have been able to do is use the my media button, find the image, and double click it to get the smaller link added to the picture.  Color me confused I guess, the "usual" that you describe doesn't seem to be working.  Do I have something turned on or turned off that is interfering with it?

Quite a bit of work done on my first Vow repressor.  Front window, icon on the roof, and highlights for the ring around the Sororitas symbol on the door, finish the book on top and I am ready to start applying decals and murals on the roof.

You might have the BBCode mode switched to "on" (in the posting box, there is an icon that looks like a switch, try clicking it and then trying again smile.png )

The method I described above results in this:

This sounds familiar, what browser are you using - is it IE? The repressor looks great, nice highlighting and metallics thumbsup.gif

Primus, I forgot that IE doesn't like the B+C website when trying things like this. I use Firefox (with Chrome as a backup).

Got a bit more work done on my Valorous Heart Repressor model. Just a few decals to add once the gloss coat dries, then dull coat to seal it up. My Martyred Lady Repressor is hiding in the background, not part of the vow, but it wanted a pic too!
